i know this was brought up when HoT was announced, so i presume it’s already been discussed, but not yet announced…. what’s the new character slot limit? it’s obviously going up to accommodate those who’ve already maxxed out their number of characters, as it did with HoT…

I’m currently at 70 (got 1 from the ep) and can’t buy any more for gems.

i am at 70, now, as well. but that’s not my vaguely worded question answered. /sigh Bacon Defeciency Disorder sucks, especially when posting when tired. :-/

before HoT, the limit was 64. after HoT launched, the limit was raised to 69 (and a few who were previously capped at HoT launch received an extra, due to the pre-order bonus), and now for RoF… will the cap go up again on Sept 22, 2017? (not including the pre-order slot for those who are already capped)

If you had the maximum character slots on your account when you bought the HOT deluxe/ultimate, you got 70.

If you had the maximum character slots when you bought the ultimate PoF (mutually exclusive to the condition mentioned above), you got 70.

If you had the maximum character slots when you bought HOT deluxe, and then bought the ulitimate PoF, you got 71.

So it’s possible to get 71.

…..which is kinda bullcrap.

There should be no limit, or everybody that met the condition for having 71, should have 71.

Not there yet, but if you are an alt-o-holic its quite feasible. Example, thinking about adding 9 more for the new elites. You set toons based on various reasons and if you like them you might want to leave them in place for later play. If you PvP and WvW you might have other reasons to create and lock toons into play outside of that. Example: PvP Ranger, WvW Condi solo ranger, WvW range zerg Druid, Havoc range Druid, Havoc Condi trapper druid. Different jobs/gear/stats/pots/pets. Then there are fractals…..different builds based on other guildmates build to help balance a group or set for different fractals. And then some people love to just level or enjoy the journey to create and equip as they go or like a look of a toon.

In short, Anet for those that did max out you might consider upping the account max by at least 1 per new specialization unless it impacts a server hard limit on data storage which is doubtful.

I misunderstood what you wrote, is how.

Bumping this just so I can track it because I, too, want to be able to give Anet money for more character slots. I would give them money for bag slots too, if they made them account wide. Heck, make them 10x the price and account wide.
