when is guesting going to be up?

I remember they had this option during the BWEs, but have taken it off ever since GW2 launched. Anyone know if this is permanent or they’ll bring it back soon?

I want to play with a a few of my buds in different servers, but since they implemented the 24-hour server switch limit.. it’s difficult to get to my friends server to play with them then come back and join my guildmates in WvWvW after.
