If I am not mistaken, we were told only outfits would be coming to the gem store in the future, and any future armor sets would be in game rewards through various means, such as achievements.

They never said no grinding. Expansions came because so many people were demanding them. The forums kind of got out of the hand with people saying there needs to be one near the last half of 2014 when WoW released theirs.

I think it was also about money. I am not sure their Living Story method of content release was making enough money to keep them going, so they had to revert to the tried and true method of paid expansions. That, and large content updates like expansions tend to make people happier than slow, steady bits of content over long periods of time.

Never… only outfits. Armor skins are in game rewards and given we got 3 per weight class in an expansion you can do some basic maths… next 3 armors in 2 years. Rejoice….

There will be no new armor sets in the gemstore, but that doesn’t exclude the OLD ones from returning.

If you’ve not gotten all of the armor sets that the gemstore’s had over the years, then keep an eye on it. They’ll likely cycle in sooner or later.
