why GM never come visit us in game
Are there even any GMs?
I’ve never seen one!
In other MMO I have regularly seen GMs.
Well I’m sure if they did, they’d be yelled at for not dealing with bots or other problems. =p
If a GM randomly flew through the maps once in a while, 80% of the bot problem would be gone. It’s not like the bots are hard to detect or farming in some remote location.
They do…
I see them constantly on Stormbluff Isle. I seen one yesterday in the Beetletun Fields at like 2am, name was “Krytan”. There was another one in LA earlier in the week, a Charr, cant remember the name…
So yeah…take it easy people…they’re around…
@Faction GJ, well spotted! I wonder if Ruby Djinn is Ruby Bayer who I remember from massively and she was a huge fan of Guild Wars 1 (like 2xGWAMM). I seem to remember hearing that she joined Arenanet, in a press release a while ago.
There’s too many servers to accommodate active ingame GM interaction. They may pop in every now and then as some of you have mentioned but ingame GM interaction doesn’t justify the cost/benefit of spending time in the game when they could be doing other things that bring more return for them.
A few of them pug dungeons with their tags turned off to check things out. You never know if that person next to you is a GM checking out what things are like from a layman’s perspective.

It is Rubi Bayer. She joined Anet I think as a Community Manager. I used to follow Massively.com religiously until SW:TOR released. Then it became a cesspool of trolling and “deathknell claims”.

Apparently in GW1 a lot of them would play on regular accounts and never let on that they worked for Anet so that they weren’t constantly bothered with questions and demands.
I was once (briefly) part of a guild which claimed they couldn’t enter tournaments because one of the members worked for Anet and they were apparently banned to prevent accusations of favouritism and even then they wouldn’t say who it was.

Yep, I remember that happening too.
My friends saw one early on in tarnished coast when they fought the shadow behemoth.
They don’t employ in game GM’s. /thread
