why can’t we chat in party chat when we are not in a party?

sometimes when i am alone and not in a party, i want to paste some item preview codes, but i do not want to paste them in the /say chat or the /guild chat

i cannot paste them in the /party chat if i am not in a party.

why?

Because there is no party to chat with.

No doubt the life of the party too

I agree, it would be nice to be able to do that in party chat. The other option is to get yourself a solo guild and go into guild chat.

o hi there Vayne!

durrr yeah i am aware of that option.
there are 2 errr “dead guilds” that i can represent if i wanna use the guild chat as a notepad for item preview etc.

but that requires me to press g, enjoy the lag for a bit, and then represent other guilds.
for party chat, i could just /p and then get on with it.

there was one time when i pasted too many item preview code in the /say chat too many times in a short period and then i was suppressed. duh!

I’m guessing it is to reduce hardware usage

You can always invite an offline player to your party. Then you’ll get to use party chat. And you’ll even get a funny message when you try to say something.

Yes.

I tend to do it whenever I just want to preview armors/weapons without going to the mists.
