A:

No. Having this game on an SSD will in no way shape or form improve yyour FPS. However, since this game streams everything from disk, having it on an ssd may improve loading times and texture streaming a little.

I’m no expert, but I’m fairly certain a SSD will improve your loading times and nothing more. Could be completely wrong though! :B

No ssd will not fix any fps issues, the only thing it will do is decrease loading times.
For better fps get better hardware.

my hardware can hold mettro on max out with stable 40-30fps
gta iv – 50-60 fps maxed
crysis 2 60fps on ultra
bt3 and cod max out 60fps

i dont think that my hardware is the issue -_-

and the fps is good but after the loading or entering new ereas its lag hard for few seconds and there smooth agin

Have you tried placing a ticket with GW2 support? I’m sure they could help you pinpoint the problem!

I’d have to agree with Banana and Crusher, the SSD will only really reduce your load in times. You might gain a tiny (as in completely unnoticable) increase here and there as textures take a tiny bit less time to load into memory, but mostly, no difference.

That said I suspect the fps drop when swinging the camera is more likely to be with your gfx cards. Whilst pokey enough, it sounds like they’re bottle necking when trying to render a larger portion of the environment. Could you try dropping the shadows to a lower setting and see if this makes much of a difference. Sounds dumb, I know, but the change from 3d shadows to 2d or none represent a big change when you’re trying to render a lot of new objects quickly (like when you swing the camera) and would help to indicate if its a GFX issue, or a more general system one as banana is suggesting.

It can improve your FPS but probably not in the way you want.

If you have loading chops while looking around, it will completely remove those. This will improve your average FPS (in theory), but after standing in the same area for awhile, your FPS will be the same.

smells like an kitten troll thread but anyway..

buying a ssd wont fix your problem and i bet u already knew that. I guess its related to your SLI configuration. SLI is not well supported in most games because its bullkitten technology.
