No. They’re not going to balance the game so that those who do not purchase expansions do not get left out.
Game lacks traditional trinity as the only role is DPS
No one is going to spec for perfect heals or iron wall defense as this is a pre DPS game. Thus the maximum amount of DPS you can squeeze out of your character will always be the Meta and thus the glass cannon shall remain the Meta for this particular game. The only time Zerk may change is they make it into another Zerk with Ferocity focused gear or something cause people already play Zerk for raw and Assassin for crits so why not introduce primary attribute ferocity sets?
I have no link for source, but I ‘think’ I remember them saying they’d like to at least update the AI to the core game not too long ago.
