I would ask to the dev team, now Halloween is finish, and clearly you received thousand of complains about the price to craft Halloween exotic weapons, if you can just adjust the formula with next patch removing halloween content, making the final price to craft it 10% of the actual price, something around the TP price, around 20g.
Something like:

10 Mystic Coins

After all, is a halloween weapon, something to remember, we had to collect all corns, we farmed hours for them. Make it something beautiful to do, not something someone who is willing to waste loads is gonna craft spending 100 times the price for a dropped one bough over the TP. Thanks.

TP Price is definitely not 20G atm. I got 1 out of the 2 weapons I was hoping to get and I’m fine with it. Aside from the awesome look, what makes them special is the fact that not a lot of people have them so making these unique skins easier to obtain won’t really do you any service in the future. Yep, people is removing weapons if in time, others just bough them in a rush, doing what we are having now, an uberscam, reselling them for triple price. That’s why i hope the patch making it ubercheap will be accepted and online soon, before the sharks goes rich for a festivity weapon.

Supply & demand and the people who risk losing money by investing on big-ticket items governs the market. I don’t see anything wrong with it.

They are just festivities weapons. Something fancy halloween-related. They should have been BoA from beginning. It’s just disgusting Anet is even allowing this scam, destroying the market for mats like lodestones, used for way more important and beautiful weapons available all the year. Devs please, make it ubercheap!!!!

BoA is a horrible idea. There are already too many soulbound items in this game.

Live with the recipe requirements. I dont want to see everyone running around with the weapon I paid a lot of hard earned money for.

Please don’t hide what you’re actually mad about by saying it’s bad for the community and that it’s a scam.
If 99% of the community got it and you didn’t you would still be upset because you didn’t get one and find another excuse to complain about.

We already saved mats from this event. It’s corns. A halloween related drop. Other mats are needed, fine. I just ask a ubercheap formula, not a 2500 corns and you’re done.
As much yes, the formula should have been just corns+plastic fangs+chattering skulls+nougat centers. A large amount, but just them, and a boa weapon. THIS would have been halloween weapons, a funny event, and something beautiful to be part of, and play the event farming mats to get a final beautiful reward. Halloween mats, not important mats like lodestones. Much more, what i find extremely disgusting is how sharks planned their scam reselling weapons after halloween for 5-10 times the price when they was dropping. Anet, please, makes them BoA, and formula ubercheap, is just a matter of a simple patch, and this horrible scam will have an end. If who posted here barely read the forum, should have found at least 1000+ post of disappointment about this event and weapons, their droprate, their cost. We are not even barely interested if 10 players on this planet spent a lot crafting them. Everyone else just dropped one and worn, or just kept waiting the scam days. This is the truth. All of us deserve halloween weapons, not just a few elected players with an absurd luck. This, at least, would leave us with a good memory of this event, at least on last day. Better than the actual fail, and the forum filled of complains.

They are a big GAME target. Not a festivity weapon.

There were 4h temporary weapons for festivity reasons. If you want halloween whole year, you have to pay for it.

I want an end of this scam, and lodestone price stabilized again, not halloween weapons. Reading the forum filled of complains, we just wanted something beautiful to remember halloween. Which is not the phase 4 act’s “hat”, for sure.

There won’t be a patch and costs of creating a legendary wont drop there is a reason they are called legendaries. What they should have done was added weapon skins that were all candycorn themed or something that could be made in the mystic forge with 250 candycorn, vender weapon you want the skin of(maybe a holiday vendor that sells it for 150 candycorn like the temp weapons), 25 chattering skulls, 25 plastic fangs that way everyone could get something holiday themed while leaving some of the better skins the way they are

Because halloween weapons are severely underpriced currently. They are only so cheap because people managed to find a few from the halloween instance chests.
They will stabilize when crafting them costs roughly the same as buying it from TP.

Bind on Acquire is a terrible idea, and so is making the recipes cheap enough for everyone to have as many Halloween weapon skins as they want.

The reason they’re cheap right now is because they were a rare drop from the Ascent to Madness chest. You have to keep in mind that that chest is only available for 2 days of the year. Prices for these weapons are going to quickly approach the cost of the materials because the only new supply for the next year will come from crafting, while demand will remain.

This is the point: why a demand event exists. This is a festivity, halloween weapons should have just been something everyone (with some efforts farming loads of halloween mats) should have. I wrote on opening a fair formula. Still using important mats, but way cheaper. As it should have been from day 1, but i guess Anet devs didn’t even take a look on TP price of lodestone before, and now. Or the pure lack of taste to even make them expensive like a half legendary. No just no OP. Not at this point. A lot of people spent hard earned gold for what they got. Your suggestion means the value of the item is like 2-5g – which is a big F-U to all of the people that currently bought them.

A lot of people spent over 100g of mats preparing for it, still half way. Realizing 5 minutes later it was on sale precrafted for 20g. Now imagine the anger. Anet just messed up everything making it a drop. Everyone knows it’s the truth. Expecially who wasted loads of gold for mats, before they was on drop. My thread wouldn’t even exists, if the drop of those weapons wasn’t available. My request would, at least, stop the scam is going on, and make the lodestone price normal. And leave us with a beautiful memory of this event, not the disgust most of us is having.
Lodestone, wine mats are needed for way better weapons, and future improvements.
Not a halloween weapon, when in 1 month and a half we will have Christmas event online.

The TP is decided by players, often by panic reactions. I did well over 100 MK runs and not a single halloween exotic dropped for me.
Plus the recipes were avaible a few days (act 1) before they dropped from chests (act 2+3)

Recipes? Not just i got 2 of them from the chest, instead of halloween weapons, but before drop them, i just bough the one i was needing, (Artificer) for 7 silver. Oh please.

Arachnophobia was already at like 60g last time i looked at it. It will probably be worth 150/200g pretty soon.

The crafting formula is fine, people just wasted their luck by selling them at 20g.

Most of the complaints were over the drop rate not over the crafted versions.
Now you just starting to troll I dont have any of the legendarys on my main which is an asura engy so would be pointless to even get them since i wouldn’t be able to see them, also most of the skins are pretty cheap. Lastly you really need to check your grammer and it is complaints not complains

Yes, complains are about drop rate. Why drop rate even existed? If they was just crafted weapons, expensive to craft, a rare weapon just a tiny number of players was able to craft, and smaller number of them able to even buy one, my thread wouldn’t exists.
I wonder if any of you who wrote here remember the first price of Arachnophobia on TP. Was a crafted one, the price was 499.99 golds. Fair price, craft it was around 250g+.

Odds are the event will be recycled (and rightfully so) for next year. So go do some playing and save your mats/gold.
