This argument has been going on since the very first Halloween event in GW1 When they say the 22nd… they really mean… the 23rd, midnight Seattle time.

Living in the Eastern time zone, I have always gotten the GW1 holiday patch 1 day later than expected, at 3am. Of course, events always also last an extra day till 3am

So, expect it 7 hours, 13 minutes from now

There will be maintenance. this patch fixes all sorts of bugs and adds a ton of new permanent content as well as the Halloween stuff.

Then us folks in EST can expect to be up late?

There has been no post saying there will be maintenance. You realize all of the game is instanced? All the maintenance could be done and they switch it over. I would refrain from saying it before we actually know.

It used to be at 3am EST/midnight PST. For some reason, last 2 weeks has been done before that time. I’m always expecting a patch at 3am EST, since it’s the usual time. I’m having fun reading people whining in LA map chat atm, everyone was expecting it for 8pm EST apparently.

Yeah i just couldnt connect xD and we musnt be getting our weekly maintenance then xD because it hasnt been left this late before.

No Halloween ;_; Sad little Asura! Wish they were more clear about their timing and not make things so late for Europeans :/

Apparently…. October 22nd means Midnight the night of October 22nd. As in, not October 22nd anywhere.

If you are in anything that is time sensitive, you will be given time to finish it. If you are in a dungeon and it resets, you will have 3 hours to complete the dungeon, more than enough time.

It will get released sometime October 23rd

I do wish they were more specific us poor Europeans have to stay up all night or get up early just wish we knew which :/

Ok here is the thing. Anet is dedicated to put out a quality product. This is also the first major event they have done for GW2. So no matter what they say, they might have had to push back cause of conflicts. They do test before they release.

The only answer your going to get is hopefully soon.

If an Anet rep pops with an answer it is probably cause they just got things finished.

But I guess this is a good thing at least for me, since I need to keep doing my coursework for college. But I wanted a little break to play some Guild Wars 2 and try out the new Halloween events and stuff. : (
