It used to be enjoyable and fun to take on mob after mob of skeletons, candy corn elementals, spiders etc…. Not its a total complete waste of time chasing down the portals, which disappear after 1 or 2 single enemies. If this is a bug, please fix it, if this was nerfed, then I am waiting for the next big let down. Now to find something better to do…..

Not to mention that the 1 or 2 mobs that come out of the doors seem to have a 10% chance to drop anything decent. I’ve hit 10 doors so far and gotten 1 trick or treat bag. So far I’m chalking this event up as a complete and total failure on Arena Nets part. It sucks too, it had so much potential.

I really don’t see why it could not have stayed as is, there are many places in Orr like that.

So to get the rare craft mats from halloween, that you need 100 for the skins, you need to hunt at least 500 different doors considering the spawn decreased, the loot rate is low and worse, the anti farming code kicks every 30 minutes. “no grinding”.

“This event has only just begun” but it’s also only here for a very limited time— if we don’t have the time to grind everything out how will we be able to see everything?

No, you can get them from treat bags which you can get in many places. I got a lot of them from mining candy corn nodes. I heard you can even get them from Dolyak’s in WvW.

You only need the corn and the rares. You can use them in the forge to create the gift recipes at any time.

I did not invest a lot of time into the Guild Wars community when I use to play GW1 and I am glad I did not. You people cry about literally everything. I personally am enjoying the game and the event. “Wahhh I did not get a RARE skin from a BLC”. It seems more like people have been spoiled by what something being rare actually means.

Had to laugh at “It used to be enjoyable…”. I’d wager the vast majority of players haven’t even had an opportunity to do this at all yet. If it were me, I’d be feeling like I got a bonus ‘cause I got extra stuff pre-nerf instead of complaining that you weren’t able to pile up tons of stuff less than 24 hrs into the event.

I just wanna do the Scavenger Hunt
and Maybe see one of these mythical doors people on the forums keep yammering about
Then I’ll go back to my business of collecting the countryside as I quest

Guys, there are more chapters coming with more stuff happening.
What if event will be winding up and when the next chapters open, it won’t be only through the doors that you can kill these mobs?

My guess is, there will be other ways to kill them. So don’t sweat.
