Hi there!
As we know, almost all necromancers’ staff attack animations create a foggy scythe blade, which is really cool. Personally I’m a bit dissapointed that the foggy blade doesn’t match with the skins’ blade and now we have this weird double bladed scythe.
Is it intentional? If not, wouldn’t it be better to update the skin so its blade covers in fog upon attack?

In your picture it kind of looks like an open crows beak or something like that.

I would have expected them to match up but I think it looks pretty neat as it is now.

not only do i also agree with this but i feel the lack of animation and detail in the scythe is quite poor compared to the shield and great saw and rifle.

exactly, its literally just a “vanilla” scythe. and lets be honest this weapon (staff) is mostly used by ele and necro, that being said the necro already has scythes and cooler ones that that skin itself! (from the animation). i just wish they could have made it cool, there is SO many things they could do to it. i woudl have loved a fog trail, glow, shadow effect ect….

Every staff longer than the animation has that visual horrible double blade effect.
Final rest has the same issue, but you can see how horrible is with most staff, coe one for example

I actually like the double blade effect to be honest. I do agree that the scythe itself looks really plain.

One of the reasons I decided not to go for the scythe (even though it’s AWESOME) was due to the fact that my normal staff turns into one whenever I cast a spell anyway. After seeing that image I’m glad that I made that choice and decided to craft the other one.

Honestly I thought the scythe would be dripping blood or something, but that probably wouldn’t fit with the rating. Still a cool weapon skin though, not so much with a necro but maybe it will be fixed.

Agreed. Don’t need a scythe when whatever I’m carrying turns into one anyway when I use it. Which is awesome btw. Honestly, I’d rather have a permanent version of the 4hr staff skin (can’t remember the name) that has a little lantern hanging from it. That one is sweet.

Cool this means I can stop breaking my back trying to get one of these.

Well, personally I don’t even mind the skin’s “plainness”, just saying that adjusting the blade would be great.

comparing it to the greatsword chainsaw and the rifle skin does seem a little plain
still a cool weapon to have on its own level
that necro bugs does tend to get annoying though

Honestly the scythe i nothing anyone would miss. More a , well nice to have thing.

The staff i really wanted was The Crossing , but that is out of my reach , so , i will wait something i can get.

I actually think that double scythe effect is really cool, reminds me of the reincarnated Deathscythe from Gundam Wing.

wow scyhthe does look real plain, luckily i got the crossing out of a champ chest so im really happy that i got that instead of buying a scythe skin..

i was just going to say the same thing, looks pretty BA to me. I kind of now want to make a necro.

yeah it looks kinda lame… and on a side note, it also kills any hopes of a scythe weapon type being added in the future :P

As a scythe-wielding necromancer, the misalignment was the first thing I noticed. At first I was a little annoyed too, but I’ve really grown to like it – not just to deal with it, but actually like it.

As for the posts saying that the scythe skin is too plain – good! Not all of us want to be running around with giant weapons with intricate patterns, bits sticking out of it and silly glowing effects making it look ridiculous. If some people think that type of item looks cool and want to use them, fine – just don’t take away the plain stuff from those of us who want to look a bit more normal.
