should I get gear with Power/ Precision/ Condition Damage

or

Precision/ Toughness / Condition Damage

?

I like the Tank/Support roles so I am not sure how support will work for Revenants yest since not all legends been revealed yet. thats why I am currently not stacking +healing gear atm.

Given how little is known about Revenants and how they work, I’m not really sure if there’s going to be an actual answer as yet, as opposed to conjecture.

I think the first stat is the most important. Stat 2 and 3 are equally important but less important than stat 1.

You miss easily half of the information about the class itself on top of pretty much everything about any new content. Be patient.

Honestly, he is a big boi. Let Op do whatever he wants. ( I do think that within the first few weeks OP would be one of those people complaining about HoT and the new class though).

We’ve only seen two legends, that don’t actually mix well together. Stats that suit those two might not be what you want for other legends yet to be announced.

Perhaps you should just earmark the mats to make gear and keep those aside until you are sure of the stats you want?

Condition and Toughness. Not sure what to say about the third stat since when haven’t heard anything new then again that’s Anet for you.

Here’s the advice I got for getting armor for your revenant. Get everything ready to crafting up non-insignia components for your armor. Once we get closer to release or upon release you can craft up the armor real quick based on which insignia seems best.

Start collecting/saving up the t6 materials for a few possible insignia choices so you’ll be ready. Once you’ve crafted the insignias you want, you can keep or sell the t6 mats you didn’t end up needing.

You could always just roll Celestial stats. Revenants will likely be some sort of jack-of-all-trades class with their legend swapping, and Celestial will give you a decent amount of strength and survivability to fit any role you’d like, as well as the fact that it gives more total stats overall (between 30-40% more points). This is especially visible between the Jalis and Mallyx legendaries they show, where Condition/Power/X seems good for Mallyx but Power/Toughness/X seems good for Jalis.

For WvW or PvE?

For PvE it will be Zerker (probably not assassin because of the fury trait). Unless they fix condition in PvE completely (which would be awesome), but I have little faith about that it’s been almost 3 years and they didn’t even attempted to fix it so.

For WvW, you are better to wait because it will depend on build and weapons and we don’t have enough information for make a good decision.

Yeah, for open world and dungeons it will likely be zerker, just like for everyone else. Unsure about WvW – possibly celestial, but at this moment we can’t be sure (as we don’t know all legends and all weapon skills yet).

Actions, not words.

I built an ascended sinister set (armor, and hammer) just for fun to try out. Jewelry I am waiting on till I get to play around with it a bit. If I find I need more defense (tough, vit, etc) I can always boost that with the jewelry till I figure out exactly what I will end up with.

For those on the fence for stat choices… just stock up on the ascended mats you will need (before the price goes through the roof on release), then on release craft a few exotics to try out with before doing your ascended crafting.

There really is no rush to pick a stat of armor or weapons or trinkets. I would collect the appropriate common to all recipe materials and hold them if you need to prepare. The only difference is the stat (T6) materials – collect the variety of options if you have the resources, but otherwise, just wait.

The real issue is not specific to Revenant but what may happen to conditions (specifically stacking damage conditions) in HoT. Gearing for best-in-slot at this point without knowing final changes (including the specific weapon because who knows how many times the weapon skills may change) is truly pointless.
