Hey, i made some digging and didn’t find any satisfying info.
When HoT goes live im planning to make small guild with several friends.
There will be +- 5 ppl playing.
Im wondering if there will be any content like, guild missions and adventures which will allow us to progress our guild without any help from outside.
Plz share if you have any info.

Hey maro. From what ive read and from what ive seen implied it seems like most of the harder content (i.e. raids or getting a guild hall) will be based around the idea of having 10 players.). But as far as guild halls/activities/missions. Id imagine there possible with 5. Though it may be difficult.

That said. Theres no concrete information to give you on this. So all the playerbase atleast can give you is guesses. Youl have to wait and see or hope for a red post on the subject. Cause the players themselves know as much as you do.

not according to ArenaNet which recently feeds us with 5-6 membered “guilds” in lore…..

to the OP – for sure you won;t be able to run raids with fully guild squad without at least 10 guys in guild but I suppose that guild missions should be (finally) within such small guilds reach when expac hits teh grid ^^

i’m in the same boat w/ my guild. i axed the same question somewhere recently, titled small guild hot or something

every1 basically told me to git over it, and to find moar friends and/or join a bigger guild if i want to enjoy guild content.

Fractals is being improved so you can do a single run instead of 3 and a boss fractal. It also is raised in lvl and rewards, getting a brand new masterie track and new fractal weapons.

Guild halls will be available since you can ask people to come along to help you capture one, they don’t have to be in your guild to do it. Guild missions are getting a rework, maybe some of those will be interesting for you now.

Adventures seem to be cool to do with a few people and see who can get the highest score, from what i’ve seen in beta, me and 2 other guildies had a ton of fun with this.

For the rest there is open world content.

Yea…don’t expect to have content balanced to a 5 person guild. As important as you may think it is for this to happen, it’s just not feasible considering how much this will need to scale up.

I don’t know the link to the quote since it was a few months back, but I recall devs citing 15 people as the small size for guild content.

i can get a guild hall as a one man guild in GW1, why Anet is so stubborn to do the same in GW2…….makes it look more and more a downgrade rather then an upgrade…..

Because when you look at the word “GUILD” its not traditionally associated as a Solo act…..

Because I think they want the game to be more social than that. As much as I can appreciate people who do this, make a tiny “party” guild with just their RL friends, then complain how theres no content aimed directly at them….im fairly certain they’ve done numerous studies and find that people who join the bigger, more active socially guilds tend to participate more in content provided, as well as stay longer in the game.

Whats stopping you and your buddies from joining a “normal” sized active guild, then just requesting they make a special channel for you and your buddies to use. Then you can go do your own stuff…and still have access to everything else…who know you might branch out and come out with a much better game experience.

Really I do get the whole anti-social aspect of joining a game with RL friends and no interest in anyone else, but these games really are so much better when you have a bunch of people to play with…along with your buddies in RL.

The entire game, outside of raids, is suitable for small guilds. Very little of the content is suitable for large guilds, since even the current guild missions can be done by 5+ people with enough experience.
