Did he just say it’ll be out in 6 weeks???

It will be playable at PAX in 6 weeks.

Well he said there will be a playable version of the game at PAX east which means the game is in a beta stage or close to release build.

So yeah Pax East is Mar 6-8, 2015. That’s 40 days from today.

First time playable at Pax East, yes. No release date so far.

They had playable demo versions of GW2 at cons something like a year before launch. The first Beta weekend was about 4 months before launch. Hopefully we’ll get a little less lead time this go-round

The FAQ states there will be early-access beta but no details yet.

early access beta will likely be in about 6 to 8 weeks, and with a full release about 2-3 months following.

I would expect a full retail release on or near the GW1 10th annie, which will be around mid, late summer this year. Looks like the right time frame.

I hope they want the next living story episodes start within the middle third of this year (like the start of season 2 last year) so the beta game in 6 weeks will hopefully be followed by the release date shortly after

Well Colin did say HoT takes place seconds after the Pact defeat. So it appears any future content updates are waiting on this. Can’t imagine them waiting too long to release this. The games pop would implode completely during the summer if there’s nothing to do. Unless we’re going to get Dragon Bash, SAB, etc, or maybe even S1 content to replay?

Theoretically, heart of thorns could take place in the past or at the least the start of it, via a flashback. After all, the personal story takes place in the past, now.
