I bought the game last saturday. It still says I have to wait another day for my account to be valid…

Did you validate your account through email/SMS?

Trying to use the TP to buy and sell. Still waiting on the 72 hours to pass, but it’s been almost a week. Did all the validation stuff emails and SMS.

72 hour restriction, according to the wiki, is for the currency exchange (converting gold to gems etc), but does not mention the other, more recent restrictions on new accounts.

new accounts have a 5 day wait period after validating (email and sms) to use the trading post fully. this information isn’t on the wiki.

the wiki is kept up to date by players though, not Anet, so sometimes information can be missed out.

There’s also a longer delay (up to five days) before mail attachments, the Black Lion Trading Company, and guild banks are unlocked. You should see a message in-game displaying the time remaining before you have full access to these features.
