So the forums have been filled with a whole bunch of hate pointed towards ANET recently, thought I’d be nice to get a ANET love thread in here.

Even though I disagree with some of your changes like the 250 HP change etc., I’ve been constantly loving and having a ton of fun with the HoT expansion. Plenty of stuff to do and I’m never bored, $50 well spent. Thanks for the fun times ANET.

There’s been a lot of threads like this actually, I wish ANET would merge them.

Expansion overall has been fun and I welcome the HP change for my alts. Auric Basin is the most beautiful looking zone in any MMO I have played. The Artistic direction and execution in this game always impressed me, but this expansion has raised that bar. So far, I feel quite pleased with this expansion and I look forward to slowly working my way through it with 4 other alts.

No. I’ll admit, some parts of HoT are really well made; new areas are beautiful and have amazing music; that does not translate at all into how I feel about Anet. I’ve expected mediocre ‘performance’ and I received one even worse than that.

That’s just about the company. Still liking the game (to an extent).

As a filthy casual when it comes to Guild Wars 2, I think HoT is great

In general, I’ve been enjoying the expansion but there was something about it that didn’t quite click for me. Something didn’t feel right. Tonight I discovered what it was. With the reduction to 250 hp, I was able to use all my tempest traits and decided to try the specialisation for the first time. Pretty soon, I realised I could never use anything else again. It exactly suits my play style. It’s like having the aoe of staff with the mobility of d/d. I love being a tempest. After only playing it for a short while, it already feels natural. Running around the jungle with the traditional weapons just didn’t feel right. The tempest is how HOT was meant to be enjoyed. Thank you, Anet.

I usually don’t write in those appreciation threads, but I simply love the new areas. The sheer size, the huge events, the music, environment feel also great. Reminds me sometimes of Zelda (especially Auric Basin).

Very, very good, great atmosphere. I love to sink hours into it and had no complains aside form some enemies dishing out too much damage :-)

HoT has been an awesome expansion so far. I appreciate that you dropped the grind for the elite specializations, but even without I found it fun to work towards unlocking my elite specialization.

As a casual the content in here is going to keep me busy for the next year, so if you want to take your time to polish out the next content drop, please do so.

I was ready to attack head on the jungle to make all the hero challenges possible asap to unlock the tempest at day 1, and I was a little frustrated at how hard was… When this morning I have found the 250 change I was really happy. It’s such a great change, probably a little too convenient but I really love it. The tempest is really great! Thank you Anet!

Im absolutely enjoying HOT, and Halloween too! I welcome this thread and others like it. I’m SO sick and tired of the toxic posts that go up on the forums. Im all for discussions about what works and what doesnt work in the game, but some people seem downright nasty! More violets I say, less violence!!!

I’m having a hardcore adventure at a casual pace! Thanks ANET. Look I belong to both groups now.

The expansion has some of the most amazing zones I have ever seen. Monster AI/difficulty has been improved dramatically and actually pose a challenge now; such a big improvement. Have barely scratched the surface but I am absolutely thrilled so far with my purchase and would do so again in a heartbeat.

Thanks Anet for all your hard work in getting out one of the best expansions I’ve played in to date.
