Now the Chak Gerent event is no longer painful, most of the players can just get there 5-15 mins before the event and have a 80%+ success rate, even if 1 lane wasn’t doing well, the others can help if they finish early. So many people got their Mistward headpiece now.

Yeah more faceroll content. Just what we need. /s

I still love you Anet, but I do hate when you give in to crying like this and go back on your word. You said you would give us a difficult world boss for HoT. I’m really kitten disappointed.

You should have just removed collections items from the chak gerent event and kept the difficulty.

The majority of players wanted the change/fix on the scaling. I killed it several times before change and now several times after and there’s only one major difference I see, people are having fun and enjoying the content now as opposed to map chat rage fights about who were “bad” players and caused the fail.

Aside from the downtime (1hr) between Gerent events I think the zone is extremely fun to play as a whole now, Ajax has done an outstanding job listening to the players and deserves to be applauded.

It is a horrible overnerf.

1st person worldwide to reach 35,000 achievement points.

The problem I see was that it was becoming doable by pugs just before the nerf, if they had left it another week the problem would have solved itself with players just playing better.

If they were going to do anything the spawn timer would have been best target, nevermind though.

Not really.

A big issue with the difficulty is that players just gave up. It got to the point where guild runs were the only runs, and if a PUG couldn’t ride the wake of a guild they wouldn’t even try. Once a player did managed to succeed, they would grab their mistwalker helmet and never come back.

The PVE community in this game is highly resistant to self-betterment. As much as I would like to think that hard content makes players self-critical and refine themselves, mostly it just gets rid of the people who don’t.

I don’t have opinions. I only have facts I can’t adequately prove.

Well all I’m saying is I tried the event maybe 6 times in the week before the nerf and succeeded 4 times. It was becoming doable.

I was pretty sure they’d nerf it given how it was implemented initially. That’s why I didn’t touch it and waited for it to be easier. I dislike most open world PVE meta events so the easier they are the sooner I can be done with them.

If here they fall they shall live on when ever you cry “For Ascalon!”

Glad to see some balance going on in group events.

Now if we could do something about Auric Basin populations.. >.>

And most of the people didn’t grab a 50% chance, the lucky ones left after a win like me.

You can see how many people have showed their Mistward helm after the nerf, they either had left or didn’t win before that.
