Will those who already have access to the last beta need to get a portal to get in on the next one? Or since they have the beta slot they’re already in?

Yes they need to get the drop.

Each beta is an individual thing. Players who qualify for one don’t automatically get into the next one, you have to qualify for each one individually.

This makes me think that what they mean is that if you got the beta access from this event (not the old one), then it won’t carry over to the next ones, not those who already have access.

That was written for the stress test beta. It could be better worded as gaining access to any single beta event does not guarantee access to any other beta event
