About hunting Treasure Mushrooms.

Try killing one in a map you didn’t kill one before. It might help progress your collection.
Nooctae ( Thief ) / Encelya ( Engineer ) / Jane Crimson ( Elementalist ) / Kowywr ( Revenant )
Europe, Vizunah.
somehow I think each spore goes to a specific specialization. If not, then its RNG. I had the same problem with my necro going for his collection, and the mushroom in Dragon Stand put the spore in my Dragon Hunter collection. Killing the same shroom gives you nothing.
So i had 3 other specialization’s unlocked, went running around finding different shrooms, the LAST one, (which I believe was in Tangled Depths) gave me the one for the Reaper.
Again, this may be just left up to RNG (if someone got something different from Dragon stand that didn’t go to Dragon Hunter, then its RNG), but if not, someone just didn’t finish explaining you need to finding a certain treasure shroom.
That’s some pretty sound advice, I’ll have to try tomorrow when my guild mate gets back on. Thanks for the suggestions.

I killed the one in Dragons Stand last night while I was on my mesmer and it added the spore to the warrior collection only.
yeah I believe we have to kill all the Mushrooms in the the first 3 map and each gives the spore to 3 spec collections…not clear but seems about right…try out!
PS: is there a sroom in DS?
Wat r u, casul?
is there a sroom in DS?
Yeah, that’s the only one that I killed.
It appeared after the meta was done. Right on top of that waypoint in the central lane where the Hero Point is. The one that actually requires the meta to be done for it to open.
That shroom unlocked the Berserker collection thingy for me.
You only get one invisible mushroom per treasure mushroom per day. There are a total of 4 treasure mushrooms.
Each invisible mushroom you get applies to just one single collection. It is not random, there is an order in which they are applied.
I had all collections unlocked, and so did my gf, and when we did the treasure mushrooms on seperate occaisions and we both got the Torch for Berserker first, Shield for Chronomancer was second, the Staff for Daredevil was third, and the fourth was the Bow for Dragon Hunter.
We havent gotten further than that, but we both got the exact same order of unlocks from different mushrooms at seperate occaisions. So to me it seems there is a particular order, i can only assume that if you do not have a collection unlocked it will simply skip over it to the next in line.
edit:
We got the Druid’s Staff as 5th and Heral’s Shield 6th. It seems to unlock alphabetically.
Berserker, Chronomancer, Daredevil, Dragonhunter, Druid, Herald.
I predict Reaper, Scrapper, Tempest to follow in that order.

When you say you “have not received anything for it” do you mean no spore, or no rewards at all?
If it’s the latter, then I suspect that Anet made an update so you can’t get credit for killing the treasure mushroom if you don’t have stealth detection.

The treasure mushrooms are a daily, you can only get credit for each one once per day, so its more likely that he tried to kill it more than once.

Nope. I was killing them once per day, I knew they were daily. I would also like to add that I was getting nothing, no credit for the event, even though the event popped on my screen. No spore, no medal, no confirmation of the event ending. I know i’m doing enough DPS as I’ve been running Reaper and Herald when I kill them, and i’m attacking from the very second the event activates.
Also I just killed the Auric Basin mushroom, rather than the VB one and still got nothing, although this time neither did another guild mate. The results are very inconsistent so far:
Day 1: All 3 players got credit for the mushroom (Verdant Brink)
Day 2: All 3 players got credit (same mushroom as day one)
Day 3: Only 2 players got credit (same mushroom as day one)
Day 4: Only the player who initiated the event got credit (Auric Basin)
Day three may be where the patch that changed this hit. But that being said, the other player who got credit does not have Nuhoch Stealth Detection either, so i’m not sure what to say. At this point i’m almost done leveling the mastery myself and will just do it on my own.
@Terrahero – Thanks for the info, it seems to line up with what my guild has gotten so far from the mushroom, it does indeed appear to be unlocked alphabetically.

Back with some final updates for this topic. I did level up my Nuhoch Stealth Detection tonight and can now get rewards from mushrooms again. I can confirm that a patch sometime last week stopped people without the mastery from getting credit for the event. Furthermore the spores do not drop from specific mushrooms, but they do drop in alphabetical order. My drop order was Berserker, Chrono, Daredevil, Dragon Hunter, Druid, Herald. I would assume the final three are Reaper, Scrapper, and Tempest, as Terrahero said.
Thanks for the input everyone, I’ll see about putting this information on to the Wiki tomorrow.
