Add a ''Grace'' period to Disconnecting
Remember the infamous Karka Queen disconnects? People have already been asking for this for 3 years. Maybe next expansion in 2018?
This already exists since HoT. It just may not be working correctly or at least it doesn’t work if the map is full. Colin mentioned on Reddit it would be looked into
Yeah this just happened to me today. I was at 200% participation with just one tick left for zone wide completion then BAM! I get d/c . I did not get back into the same instance. I think Im going to stop playing a while until Anet gets out of the mire. Is it about 2 hours from start of meta to completion?
yeah I wasted about 2 hours.

Definitely doesn’t work, I’ve lost my spot on quite a few good maps due to disconnects or crashes. Every time I was unable to rejoin and was instead stuck on some empty or bad map. Just earlier I lost a T4 night Verdant Brink map because my net went off for a split second near the end. This NEEDS to work especially when the map is full because usually good maps worth rejoining are full.
If you get disconnected, your spot should be saved for a few minutes and you should instantly be placed on the same map (without having to join through someone else) if you rejoin. Why this hasn’t been added for the past 3 years is beyond me, this has been asked countless times.
1 hour ago, we killed the dragon and after the cut scene, bang, disconnect. Logged back in, and i even wasn´t in a group anymore, no loot, no xp, no nothing. Thanks Anet, please fix your game-

Please for the love of all that is good, do this! It’s so frustrating to lose a huge amount of progress due to a few second glitch.
We need this for story missions, too. Especially for the long ones, it can be really frustrating to have to start completely over due to a net blip. There used to be a grace period for missions in GW1, and I really think we need that back.

I remember the… stress I had in Glint’s Cave during LW Season 2. I DC-ed in the middle of a fight and… I so wanted to finish S2 before expac launch
Also, during the old World Boss trains in pre-HoTs (haven’t been in one since the launch. Halloween is eating up my time). DC there is painful, especially if you’re just about to kill a boss and your Net goes poof like Koko Crunch.

He already looked into it. Basically, he thought it worked that way, but it actually doesn’t. He mentioned megaservers “saving” your spot, but it’s not actually reserving you a spot, the instance would have been the first available one anyways based on your conditions (home server, guild, friends, etc).
