So, how are the adventures now, after the spring update? Is silver/gold accessible for players that aren’t good at this stuff?

I personally suck at adventures and dislike them, but I was able to get all VB gold with a few runs and watching guide videos.

Except shooting range; that one is evil.

EDIT: Haven’t tried other maps yet.

Most adventures didn’t change much. Of the ones that did, I can fail more often now than before, since they are available much more often.

It’s a lot better; it’s just not ‘good’ for people like me who hate adventures.

All in all the adventure changes were useless. They nerfed haywire punchomatic the 2nd time for no good reason and barely changed others.
Scraprifle test was not changed at all it seems?

The changes were small if any to most of them. If you didn’t like them before, you still wont like them now.

It’ll be interesting to see if they survive as a concept beyond HoT. They were apparently very well received at launch, but anecdotally speaking, they seem wildly unpopular and out of place.

No, they’re still kittening awful. I’ve never hated content as much as I hate adventures. I spent an hour in Sanctum Scramble just learning where you can leap, what ledges are actually “slippery” and cause you to fall off, etc. The most enjoyable thing about them is knowing that once (if!) you complete them you never have to do that awful kitten again.

They pretty much just more accessible to play and change requirement for collection and stuffs to bronze level. And you gain a lot more xp to reward chest( got like~ 100k xp if you gold) so it more rewarding.

Time they add is just enough for people that get close to gold before( like me ) feel more comfortable to get it . (finally got gold haywire and shooting thanks for that)

Other than that It still the same I think . Unless I miss something.

They suffer from the same problem that many other unpopular content: lack of meaningful rewards.

Those that hate them, hate them passionately, specially after being somewhat forced to play them for mastery points.

Those who love them, like me, have barely any reason to invest our time on them. We might give a couple of tries to the ones we know we’ll get gold easily for a fast rare (exotic drop rate seems ridiculously low) if we happen to be nearby and that’s all.
Spending a good time trying to improve and beat our own record for nothing? Even if I do it from time to time just for fun, it has all the ingredients to be a really niche activity.

While I am very grateful for the Q2 Spring update and its changes I think I would prefer to have more mastery points awarded from achievements (Living World Season 3) or from map locations and not tied so stringently to Adventures. I do like the adventures and I play them for the fun of them alone. However sitting at the max distance from my provider the lagony/lag/latency I get will never allow me to achieve a gold reward for adventures. I had hoped that my recently upgraded systems would have made Adventure Gold Rewards more achievable. Sadly while I can play just about everything else at max settings (I even tried lowering my settings) I have been unable to achieve gold rewards as I was in Beta, on the same adventures. If you play Adventures for the fun and not the competition or the rewards they are fun, unique, and very creative part of the game to enjoy.

That being said I don’t think I have gotten more than 2 Gold Adventures and that would have been because the cyber deities and The Six were looking after me. I was able to add up 1m wasted of a 2.35m adventure waiting for the poles to register for me instead of some one else on Sanctum Scramble. I figured it was due to it being a daily and went back later to try it again, I was able to get farther 8/11. Though that was still only for Bronze rewards. There is absolutely no way I will ever get a gold. I found I was loosing on an average minimum kitten per run waiting or going back to poles.

Please bring more mastery points to us with the Q3 (Winter?) update for Living World Achievements It would also be nice to have more added to maps, maybe tucked away in the far corners, for us explorers / PvErs. Consider adding them to event achievement line? Reward 5 or 10 for completing every event on the map in both day and night cycles twice? Or as an Itzel, Nuhoch, Exalted supporter by completing 100 events that help those races (like Ordnance Corps Auxiliary )?

P.S. We still love/like/enjoy the adventures for the “Adventure” of it, not the competition ;D Let competition be where it is most appreciated.

Hoping to finish my Mastery’s in Q3

Adventures should be a side show for those that want to do them. It’s fine for them to have high scores, league tables, achievements and titles but they should not have mastery points behind them and they should not be part of the dailies imo.

The access has helped, at least. I can fail quickly until I get just the right bounce, but there’s no way in hell I’m getting Gold in most of them. Getting Silver on Sanctum Scramble was at least a half hour of snarling.

The reason: GW2’s collision and terrain development does not support the sort of platforming they designed for. I get stuck on imperceptible hitches in the terrain or fall off things for no reason, and then it’s a 2-minute reset to get to where I was.
Add on frustrating glider lag, and even Silver is hard enough to get with some of them.

Many alts; handle it!

^ Tell me about it. This happens a lot in EOTM, especially the snowy parts. Running with the zerg I’ll come to a sudden stop and wonder.. what the-? Some piece of snow (snow!!) was jutting higher than the rest.

My observation is, that these changes are not good enough, i see a huge ammount of people still talking about the adventures as a total no fun activity and super difficult to do, to earn the Mastery Points. Map chat, Guild chat, all the same. But what is getting more is also the bashing of ppl who cant do the adventures/ not getting silver, gold, by ppl who did it and claim its easy. The elitist behaviour is groing and i think, its something that should be prevented. Make the Mastery Points otherwise avaialable and hide other stuff behind these unnecessary activities. Or add more time to all the levels, no matter if its Bronze, Silver or Gold. Then there are ppl who claim, well make the Story Achievements, well same goes here, some of them are extremely difficult. To much of a difficultly for a game that claims it is made for the majority of gamers, who are not the so called Pros. Seen so many comments on that. Fact is the gap between the normal player and the ‘pros’ is widening and comes with a lot of negativity. Core Game Goals should be accessable by all players. That’s what i think, knowing that there are other contrary opionions out there.

Everything about this expansion feels like it’s designed to separate the casual players such as myself from the elitists who talk about how they faceroll through every piece of the new content and tell the rest of us to “git gud”. My whole attitude towards the game has soured and the amount of time I play has dropped off significantly.

When I do play, it’s usually in the core maps because the new ones just frustrate me. Not good enough to solo. I tried AB last night, but there was only 1 map in LFG and it was full so I was stuck on what felt like an unpopulated map. Maybe I’ll try again tonight.
