Let’s say that a guild leader buys the HoT expansion and sets up a Guild Hall. Would those guild members who do not buy HoT still be able to access said Guild Hall and all its nice perks and amenities, or will they be shut out because they don’t have the expansion?

I’d really appreciate an official word from ANet about this.

That’s what I suspect too, that’s why I want an official word from ANet.

I also suspect I won’t get an official word.

I’d also like an estimate on how many people will be required to clear the guild hall, as this battle may not be doable by small guilds except with external help?

Didn’t they address that in one of the livestreams? I thought they said those without HoT would access any guild amenities available through the new building in Lion’s Arch, the Guild Initiative.

But can they visit the actual guild hall?

That’s not my question. The Guild Hall will serve as a meeting place for guild missions, and as I am part of a large guild, that’s critical. If those of us — like me — who don’t buy HoT can’t access the Guild Hall itself, we’re definitely at a disadvantage.

I would guess not, or there would be no need to access said amenities from the Guild Initiative building.
