How many points needed for Elite Specs?

What other ways to get Hero Points in HoT?

give us full reveal.. because current Hero Point grind is boring.

This is an issue for me, I heard or read somewhere (or watched a video) can’t remember where or what, but I got the impression that it requires 175 hero points PER CHARACTER to unlock elite specs. I really hope I am wrong and incorrect on this as it is a severe turn-off from purchasing HOT for myself as well as many others.

This, in the current system is just aweful. I would like a way to trade spirit shards for hero points and a way to earn hero points consistantly via WVW and/or SPVP.

I royally just cant stand the stupid jumping puzzles to get to hero points in the game, I’m still feeling like I wanna puke from the last time I did map completion. It is that bad, and I think it would be horrible if the only other way to get them would be by PVE farming on new maps.
