So a little after 24 hours after release and realizing that there is probably more people on the forums than in the actual game and seeing the thread "
Elite Specializations & Hero Point Feedback [Merged] constantly growing and being merged with countless mini thread talking about it, whats the plan?

By now i think its safe to assume that the community expressed itself clearly on the matter and that the vast majority do not approve with your decisions.

Can we get to a cease fire state where Anet admit they made a mistake, offer a solution to try and please that vast majority so the forum warriors can turn their righteous furry onto Mordremoth instead?

No Sarcasm and no second degree here, i genuinely want this Kitty storm of biblical proportion to end so we can actually enjoy the game and all the hard work invested in it without that black cloud being the elite specs being denied behind many, many obstacles.

don’t take the QQ posts serious or as a proof that the majority feels the same way as them. I personally LOVE this expac, it’s the best thing that has happened to GW2, so stop your whinig and start playing the game that’s what it’s for. Or don’t play it if that’s what you feel like.

To me complaining about the fact, that you have to play the game in order to progress is so hypocritical. When all we’ve asked for these years were end game progression, and character progression, and now that they are giving them to us, you complain. What’s the next thing gonna be, you start complaining about the golden city being to gold? or the jungle is too green, and that you need a guide to hold your hand rofl…

Problem is, more people come to the forum to read or complain so you wont get a good poll answer. Also I bet some people may not even tried. I know I been busy with Halloween, yet I am still a scrapper with my 200hp i had from core, and it is fun. I am not sure the full problem, but I feel like it it was easier, it might no be fun.

Your logic is completely flawed. The vast majority of players who DO like the expansion will be in game playing it. So that leaves the people who DONT like the expansion offline on forums and reddit kittening each others complaint threads. The people enjoying the expansion arnt going to waste their time writing about it making posts saying how.much they like it, its the people who have an anti anet agenda who are spamming posts

Actually, the forum is the main place for a person considering purchasing the expansion is bound to come to see if its worth it. Yet these complaints, which are met with mostly anger and hatred, and no real counter points, and telling people to stop qqing, dont really provide these people with a very good opinion of the game, and the community, and those people are less likely to purchase…

As to the actual problem, catering to a “hardcore” audience, be it the people who constantly want more challenge, or the people who blitz through content, or anything like that, is a bad design policy. Just ask Wildstar how catering to the hardcore audience worked for them…

As much as nobody wants to admit it, the casual gamer is the person you want to market for. You lose that market, you lose your game…..

We asked for more harder content, not this leveling elites fiasco. I don’t even play with my alts because of ultraslow exp gaining. If your promised content is leveling my elites for 3 years than you did it. Good job you just unlocked Achievement Coldhearted “How to turn off 2 million players from expansion”

Whether or not this is the place new people go to get info is irrelevant. Forums are always the place people go to complain because its really only the unhappy people who feel the need to vent their feelings publicly. This creates the illusion that a “majority” of people feel a certain way because all you see are identical posts.

When someone is satisfied with what they recieved they will most of the time keep it to themselves and go on doing what they are doing. Its the bitter person who will go out of their way to complain about things and try to get others to back them up on the supposed “injustice” that has been done to them. Using public forums to gauge what a majority of players feel is completely unreliable because your only going to get one side of the argument. The vocal minority

I have to laugh when I see people posting that only unhappy whining people go to forums. People who post that don’t see the basic irony that they’re on the forum themselves and complaining about complainers. gg

i dont think thats the point people are making – but the maps are overly complicated so is the way to unlock the hero points – which means it will take an long time to do so – in fact you will have completed most of the expansion before unlocking the elites…but most people -me included- were expecting to PLAY the expansion as the elite not to play the expansion to unlock the elite.

I didnt say ONLY but it is a large majority. Im posting here cuz im at work, otherwise i would be in game PLAYING. Im not going to spend time making posts just to say “good job anet” and i doubt a lot of the other people enjoying the expansion will either. But the people who dont like it dont want to play so they have nothing better to do than complain on forums. Same thing happens EVERY time something new comes out regardless of what the true majority feels
