Hi Anet, thank you for this game, but please treat it the way it deserves!

A heads up, don’t bother posting things like. "Anet wouldn’t do X because thats the way it is inteded to be. Especially NOT “Lol, not gonna happen.”

- Don’t forget dungeons. Fractals are not dungeons! (http://www.usgamer.net/articles/guild-wars-2-heart-of-thorns-interview)

- Revisit old classes. Necro needs to bring more utility to groups. Make Ranger bow gameplay more exciting, and so on…

- Fire the person who designs all thos ugly leather trench coats. There are enough for the next 5 years. Leather sometimes needs to be skin tight.

-Make pristine fractal relics a currency but maintain the double click =15 tokens.

-Add a buff tab for your account where all the birthday karma and mf buffs are stored, they take up so much space.

-STOP creating outfits! Maybe once a while but not so many. How weird is a thief in full plate armor? It also restricts mixing armor together.

-Give world bosses rewarding loot, and nice looking gear. If you sell all via the gem store people will buy this stuff and eventually stop playing because they had no rewarding experience – they just saved up money and bought it.

-Do special discounts which can only be bought with real money. But do not restrict items this way. Example: You can buy an infinite mining tool for a discount of 5€ but you wont be able to buy this with gold.

-Again do not put nice skins into the game via the black lion chest. It is NOT rewarding and I believe you want to keep your players.

-Add craftable Minis to the game, for more endgame content.

-Hiding the Living Story behind gems is kittened. It’s like a dlc, which is cancer to the gaming industry.

-Add a series of quest which reward a permanent 25% movespeed buff while out of combat and replace those skills for something useful.

-Make the precursor hunt challenging, NOT grinding. Like beating a jumping puzzle in a certain time.

-Add an option for a list of favourite waypoints to the world map.

-Add an option to write a note to an item. So you can take a break off the game and return without selling something you forgot the purpose of, just to remember it minutes later.

-STOP with these obscure and grossly oversized backpieces. It just makes the game look so weird and unbelieveable.

-VERY IMPORTANT Look into performance, seriously there is so much optimization to be done. It cannot be that FPS drop while 5 people gather around you, or while turning your camera in lions arch with a gtx670 OC, a fx8320(3.5 Ghz) and 8gig ram on a 1920×1080 display Settings NOT maxed out. NO other game does this.
And things like the mouse bug when you turn the camera that the cursor glitches and interrupts the camera and you have to click again. < Really annoying.

Pls don’t treat this expansion like it would be and update. It isn’t. Expansion =/= Update.

Thank you.

Well actually you can pay for the gems with gold, so technically you can buy with gold.

-Again do not put nice skins into the game via the black lion chest. It is NOT rewarding and I believe you want to keep your players.

I don’t mind locking certain skins behind bl chests at all. Feels exciting getting a full ticket to get a cool skin. Even makes some feel more exclusive.

-Hiding the Living Story behind gems is kittened. It’s like a dlc, which is cancer to the gaming industry.

It’s free if you simply log in to the game anytime during the duration of the episode.

-Add a series of quest which reward a permanent 25% movespeed buff while out of combat and replace those skills for something useful.

No thanks. Some professions are meant to be faster or have this convenience while others are not. Everyone can’t have it all.

-Make the precursor hunt challenging, NOT grinding. Like beating a jumping puzzle in a certain time.

They seem to be already doing this.

Other than that, I don’t see anything wrong with your other requests. Nothing that will effect the way other players enjoy the game at least.

Some good ideas, some not so good, but you deserve to be reminded that this post will accomplish nothing beyond letting other players know what you wish the game was like. Devs are never going to see this, especially not with the title you’ve chosen for the thread… pretty much, if the devs aren’t already talking about it in depth with the players, it’s not happening anytime soon.

how are fractals not dungeons they are tough 5-man instanced content huh just like a lvl 80 dungeon would be

- necros have more ultility than people seem to think have you played one that isn’t a MM? wells, marks, signets all provide some cool effects as good as other classes maybe not but not nonexistent and even MM have some good abilities to add just pathing problems make it hard

-meh skins are cosmetic could care less
- would be good not sure if possible within the wallet UI

they offer an item in black lion venders (near the portal to the mists in LA) to convert them into catchall boosters

if you don’t like outfits don’t buy them obviously people do or they wouldn’t make them

- world bosses have chances for good loot just extremly small probably could use a buff

-No absolutely not this is a very bad idea, it would remove the only incentive people have to convert gold into gems and make it so all of it would flow gem—> gold which would cause prices to rise across the board

- also a bad idea while i don’t particular care for the black lion chests and won’t spend my money to buy keys they are probably a pretty profitable item so getting rid of them would be bad for the game

-meh minis like cosmetic items don’t have much appeal to me but the gem store is where they belong imo other than special event minis

- lets wait for the crafting pre’s to come out before gripping about them for a
while

-the thing about DLC is its only kitten to the industry when it is bad and when you didn’t get a full product in the original price of the game i feel like i have gotten my 50$ worth and i have only scratched the surface of what I can do , a couple missions for about 2$ (200 gems) seems like a good deal to me could it be better probably is it bad no

-why not just increase overall movement speed by 25% then those skills add dimensions to combat outrun a aoe , projectile etc survive by deaggroing a mob via distance

there is a thing called a notepad IRL (shock) write down general areas or improve your memory a bit or ask for help in game favorites aren’t needed tryia is a good size but its not that big that you can’t find a way point within 20-30seconds of looking in a zone

you can turn off back items and reskin the ones you don’t’ like

any optimization is good so i can’t disagree there hopefully some of these will be addressed in the march patch with FP camera and other camera changes

its unlocking an entire new set of zones in tyria so i don’t think you have to worry about that

- Don’t forget dungeons. Fractals are not dungeons! (http://www.usgamer.net/articles/guild-wars-2-heart-of-thorns-interview)

In what way are Fractals not dungeons?

- Revisit old classes. Necro needs to bring more utility to groups. Make Ranger bow gameplay more exciting, and so on…

Rangers need more exciting gameplay period, not just bow gameplay. Ranger doesn’t mean “ranged user,” it refers to a wilderness survivor. Oh, but that argument is lost on the simple-minded….

- Fire the person who designs all thos ugly leather trench coats. There are enough for the next 5 years. Leather sometimes needs to be skin tight.

Yes, let’s fire the person who designs armors that aren’t to your personal taste. Clearly, he or she should lose their job for not catering to you.

Newsflash – there is room for both, and I’d like more and more attractive trenchcoats.

-Make pristine fractal relics a currency but maintain the double click =15 tokens.

Yes

-Add a buff tab for your account where all the birthday karma and mf buffs are stored, they take up so much space.

That would require a rather major UI overhaul. Outside of implementing this, you’d also need to figure out a way to conveniently place Boost-activation UI into the game without it affecting the main screen. Regardless, this isn’t going to happen. They make money off of bank tabs and the boost-enchantment powders.

-STOP creating outfits! Maybe once a while but not so many. How weird is a thief in full plate armor? It also restricts mixing armor together.

Yes. Outfits should have a godkitten good reason for being outfits. Most of the newer ones would be better as armors, and they’re a waste of resources.

-Give world bosses rewarding loot, and nice looking gear. If you sell all via the gem store people will buy this stuff and eventually stop playing because they had no rewarding experience – they just saved up money and bought it.

Nope. Before that happens, world bosses need to be more than 2 minutes of spamming 1 on something in a crowd of 30+ people. We shouldn’t be further incentivizing mindless zerg gameplay.

-Do special discounts which can only be bought with real money. But do not restrict items this way. Example: You can buy an infinite mining tool for a discount of 5€ but you wont be able to buy this with gold.

Not necessary. Gold -> Gem conversions still benefit Anet. Those gems are bought by SOMEONE and spikes in gem prices encourage players to buy gems with real money in order to sell them. Look at how much the addition of the wings spiked gem prices.

-Again do not put nice skins into the game via the black lion chest. It is NOT rewarding and I believe you want to keep your players.

I believe they want to make money. And anyone who would quit over optional prestige skins being “chest-locked,” which they aren’t, as you can buy them from other players, is not a loyal player in the first place.

-Add craftable Minis to the game, for more endgame content.

Sure. Why not?

-Hiding the Living Story behind gems is kittened. It’s like a dlc, which is cancer to the gaming industry.

Except that they gave you two weeks after each release to spend 60 seconds to log in. If you can’t do that, you don’t deserve the free update and you clearly don’t care about the game in the first place.

-Add a series of quest which reward a permanent 25% movespeed buff while out of combat and replace those skills for something useful.

What? No. Screw that. This idea is idiocy at its finest. What are you going to ask them for next? A “delete other player’s character feature?”

-Make the precursor hunt challenging, NOT grinding. Like beating a jumping puzzle in a certain time.

Challenging, yes. Time attacks? Hell no.

-Add an option for a list of favourite waypoints to the world map.

That’s actually an interesting and useful idea.

-Add an option to write a note to an item. So you can take a break off the game and return without selling something you forgot the purpose of, just to remember it minutes later.

Interesting, but unnecessary.

-STOP with these obscure and grossly oversized backpieces. It just makes the game look so weird and unbelieveable.

Backpieces in general look like kitten and the game already looks weird and unbelievable thanks to all of the people with their glowing surfboard greatswords and DBZ hairstyles.

Replies in bold.

Fractals:
I’d put my hand up for this. Fractals are still fun compared to other dungeons but could do with a boost, particularly on the rewards table.

Necros:
Necros are pretty limited in group utility but awesome in zerg utility in wvw. The upcoming changes to specialisations and stability could bring the necro to the fore in wvw especially. I’ll wait to see what specialisations bring.

Trench coats:
I personally prefer the trench coat over the skin tight out fits. If they brought out a few more interesting ones, I wouldn’t complain.

Pristine Fractal relics:
Definitely this. It’s weird that the rarer reward token in fractals has the least use.

Buff tab:
Don’t care about this so much since I use up mine with regularity

Outfits:
Not too fussed about this either since I don’t buy any of them but people do enjoy them so it’s not for you to say yay or nay

World bosses:
I’m a bit of two minds of this. The world bosses are loot pinatas already. I don’t really think they should do much more with legacy stuff like this except later on when they haven’t got bigger projects to work on.

Discounts:
That’d be seen as a blatant money grab from Anet and would cause significant community backlash

BL Skins:
BL Keys are a big money maker for them. There should be some sort of exclusiveness in the skins but it would be nice to get a key as a super rare drop every now and then

Mini:
Don’t care about these that much but wouldn’t be averse to them being in game.

Living Story behind gems:
It’s free if you log in during the 2 weeks. You have only yourself to blame if you miss out. You may want to think about that entitled attitude when you consider how much it costs to do development

Perma 25% buff (Mount)
No, no, no, no, no, no, no. No more of this mounts (or equivalent) garbage.

Precursor hunt
Waiting to see how HoT will do this

Waypoint favourites list:
This is just laziness and exploitable

Item note:
More laziness

Back pieces:
Some people like them, this is not for you to dictate.

Performance issues:
Might want to check your machine. I’m running a GTX760 on a Z97 mATX mobo with a i7 4790k (4GHz) CPU and16Gb ram and I have the settings on all high. I go from 60fps normal down to 25fps during Tequatl with 100+ players around me. That’s with all high settings

Mouse bug:
Haven’t come across that. Maybe it’s your mouse?

In order:

No.
How, exactly?
Don’t be a jerk.
Good idea. How do they keep the functionality w/o being an item? What do we click?
So use them up or buy the stacking gel… or just trash them.
You, sir, are decidedly wrong. Outfits are amazing or toggle them off.
They did. Boxes full of random rares – ascended isn’t enough to play the game for?
Why? Honestly, that’s pretty dumb.
There hasn’t been BL skins since Chainsword, unless you’re talking about the “box tops”.
Why? Crafting is barely content at all, let alone “endgame content”; minis are useless.
I don’t think you understand what DLC is, and the Living Story is free.
No; why should anyone move faster than others for random stuff? Also, what “skills”?
You already have that ability. It’s called a “notebook”; they cost less than $1 retail.
“Unbelievable”? Backpacks? You sure about that?
Sounds like driver issues to me. My pre-built doesn’t have that trouble.

Yes, it is. By definition expansion = update. Incidentally, expansion = DLC too…“cancer” indeed.

I was going to do a point by point response, but there is just way too much.

You have a handful of suggestions I would agree with, but none of them have anything to do with Heart of Thorns. This is not a Feature Patch. The things that are added in this will only impact those who purchase this. Some changes are being made, but they seem to be scheduled well in advance of the expansion.

Many of these things are just your opinion and not reasonable. Many of these don’t actually make anything better, nor fix anything but a perceived problem, rather than an actual one.

So, even despite agreeing with some things I have to say no to the whole. Your proposal and suggestions are misplaced and deserve no consideration.

Honestly, yes. With a conversion of the pristine relic rings to a certain amount of regular relics, this would have been a better system.
