Guild Wars 2

After seeing the glider I instantly thought of how great it would be to have custom Gliders. My first choice would be an Angel Winged one to go with one of my guild themes. Anyone else have a suggestion for custom gliders?

I’d like to see molten jetpack glider skin (auto unlocked if you have the backpack skin). Also, if the magic carpet could be a glider skin as well that would let people use theirs more (same with the witch broom). Profession specific “gliders” could be cool as well, like rangers jumping on a griffon, rocket boots for engineers, mesmers get purple butterfly wings or something, guardians could get ANGEL WINGS lol, elementalists could jump on a phoenix, thieves could… hmm. not sure. not sure about warriors either. Necros could grow bone/bat wings, and revenants could use mist energy or something idk. Honestly I’m just excited that there’s going to be gliding period but some nifty skins sure wouldn’t hurt my playing experience.

Awesome Idea, I really wouldn’t mind seeing an improved wing animation for the glider’s using the Paragon’s stance.

I was gonna be more excited if they made different stuff depending on the profession.
For example:
Warrior using basic wooden glider
Elementalist using air to hover
Engineer using experimental gyrocopter backpack, not big enough to fly with, but to use it for slow descending.
Mesmer illusionary wings
Etc…

Coming to the gems store soon after launch I’m sure. No way ANet’s not going to see the opportunity in selling custom gliders.

I’d like to see:

1. Pirate flag themed glider (for my jungle pirate themed guild).
2. Jungle palm leafs and bamboo frame glider (let me feel the jungle!)
3. If we’re going by profession then a big bad kitten eagle as ranger’s glider:)

Racially-themed gliders is easy money. Including the minor races from the Personal story.

I hope there will be craftable gliders in the future.
Something that needs artificing and leatherworking to make. And please let us choose some colors to them, unlike the backpacks and aqua gear you have given us.

Would be interesting if some of our backpack skins could unlock glider skins.

…heh.. remember that piece of sh~~ and how amazingly stupid it looked….and also why i loved the WHO engineer i want nice things like that in gw2 too but noooo… closest we got is the slickpack…

But whatever different theme… id actually pay good money to have a flock of birds with strings attached to their legs struggling to keep you in the air as a glider skin…and dont ask me why.. just imagine this on a norn male or charr passing by.
