This just sucks, I decided to buy the ultimate after seeing the sale and now I can’t get stuff because I don’t get the gems.

It’s 72 hours. You should still be able to buy everything because the first 10 days are going to stack. You’ll have your gems in 3 days.

as mentioned above, only an issue if you buy on the last 3 days of the sale.
