Crowd-pleasing Guardian? Wonder if that means a strong ranged option.
As for Chronomancer mostly being about PvP, it’s a little bit sad for me as a Mesmer player. Mesmers are a hoot in PvP… I wish they had another option that wasn’t so awkward in general PvE.
Crowd-pleasing Guardian? Wonder if that means a strong ranged option.
It might also be a hint pointing at a Paragon-like specialization, using a warhorn (crowd-pleaser, get it?). Though personally I am hoping for a longbow.

Each specialisation will get its own week of introduction.

Probably hinting at longbows since a lot of of people have been asking for it for a long time. As far as I’m aware, there have only really been people asking for axe/warhorn since recently.
Could also be hinting at “Monks” since introducing that would probably be a pretty big crowd-pleaser (I believe it’s the most asked-for profession alongside Ritualist?).

ndeed, paragons was like wars w/ their shouts n stances i think i remember. but they had dem bag of infinite spear throwing. i don’t miss it
Ugh longbow guardian? Why do people want this? I know guardian’s ranged game is a little lacking, but so what? Range isn’t the point of playing guard. Personally I want axe over longbow, but it’s seeming more and more like I’m alone in that… oh well, I guess I’ll be playing Rev for a while anyway.

The point of playing the guardian is to support and assist your allies. I think people have forgotten that’s the primary theme of guardians, not an arbitrary range restriction. Most also seem to forget that a specialization isn’t an upgrade, but rather an alternative. The guardian’s longbow provides an alternative means of supporting, and ultimately fits well within the theme while still being different.
An axe would just be a mainhand greatsword or a condition weapon, both of which providing 0 support as well as providing nothing different (or in the case of it being a condition weapon, not fitting within the theme as well as only providing something unoriginal yet still new to the guardian specifically).

Specialisations with off-hand weapon will get a kind of compensation
