I only need the Bloodstone Crazed Arctodus and I can never find him. I keep checking the locations, for a few months now, but never catch him. Any tips would help. Thanks

You do know that you need to kill normal version of the mob for the blood crazed to spawn right?

They’re designed as group events so probably not soloable with the timer limits.

There’s bound to be people around that haven’t finished these events. Do you have a Mentor tag or a Commander tag? Tell people in map chat that you’re going to start one and put up your tag if you have one to let people see where you are and attract attention. If you can get a group then you’re good to go.

I suggest telling people that you are going to start one rather than asking people if they want to start one. Human nature being what it is, more people will respond to a ‘one will start’ than a ‘do you want to start’

Yes, but… probably not with all classes, and definitely not with some of the DPS oriented glass cannon builds that are in fashion. I can’t imagine a berserker ele managing it, for example.

I got down to 20 percent on the devourer on a ranger, and 30 percent the bear on a necro, solo. Then other people showed up to claim kill credit, the lazy kittens.

(I’m joking, I was happy someone showed up, because it was super-duper slow getting that far down alone.)

As long as you are not playing at seriously off-peak times you won’t have to solo them. You can trigger them solo just by killing the appropriate things when the gizmo indicates they are the current thing. I recently did this for moa and shark. Once the blood-crazed boss spawns just stick a mentor tag on and announce it in map. Announce it and they will come!

LFG it as well. It doesn’t hurt, and can help, get people to the same map.

As I understand the device from when I was doing the achievement, when the animal sought shows up, that means it has yet to spawn on your set of maps. I don’t know how it works entirely, but that’s what I was told.

To be more exact, the animal in question has a chance of appearing every time a normal version of said animal would spawn on that map. By killing that type of animals, you force them to respawn. This is why the best approach is to have more people keep killing that type all over the map.
If you are solo, pick a place where many animals are nearby. For arctodus, you don’t have to kill only arctoduses, by the way. Any bear will do.

There are two limits. The one visible as an event timer, but also the hidden one that decides which of the animals are available. If it’s the time for the next set of animals, and one of the previous set is still present somewhere, it will despawn.

Frostgorge Sound also has quite a few sharks to kill, so you might want to try up there.
