I noticed that all the exotics you get from the revenant’s bags are forgeable. I threw a few exotic rings in and got a level 79 carrion ring.

I was tempted to throw some of the exotic weapons they hand you in and try to get a precursor for kittens and giggles, but I think I would die of sorrow if I actually got one since everything gets deleted afterwards.

Anybody masochistic enough to try?

The best I’ve got so far is a named Exotic while doing Vinewrath. I think I’d die a little inside if I actually got a precursor and couldn’t keep it.

I heard there is an increased chance to get one with the beta weapons. Because Anet rolls like that.

Yeah… I thought it was fun to try and toss some in the Forge… I’m pretty sure I wish I never had done this.

I tossed the unusable weapons from the one box I opened in the Forge not to abuse it but as the easiest way to clear my inventory. I was sorta hoping for a precursor just for the thrill of finally looting one (even without it being financially rewarding) but the best I got was a rusty anchor hammer skin I didn’t have yet (and obviously still don’t for real).

One of my guildies got her first precursor to drop from the Mystic Forge during beta, (was Dusk). I had so much fun on Team Speak 3 (private not FA) giving her a hard time over it :P

I got Rodgorts Flame on my 5th try lol…im never this lucky, spent over 1k rares and 500 exo last year and not even single precursor

Haha. I can’t bring myself to do it. I know I’ll end up with a precursor first try if I do.

Why so much negativity? It’s just a bit of harmless fun. Everybody knows it will be reverted. Nobody is trying to abuse anything.

My wife and I threw our exotics in the Mystic Forge from several of our Revenants we created.

In my beta bank I currently have Carcharias, Dusk, Rodgort’s Flame and Zap.

She has Dawn, The Colossus, Leaf of Kudzu, Spark and Venom in her beta bank.
