I had an idea. I notice that the Revenant’s auto attack animation looks like they playing baseball and hitting a ball out towards their target.

Well what if we had a goofy weapon skin to do just that.

The weapon skin looks like a baseball bat, but check this. The projectiles from it look like baseballs instead of hammers, similar to how legendary weapons can change the projectile animation.

What’s your thoughts on this?

This basically sums up my thoughts. Also, I don’t think ArenaNet will make any special skins that change projectile effects that aren’t Legendaries. By extension, and even though I’ll likely never get one, I’d rather a Legendary of any kind not be a baseball bat.

But I would like a golf club as a Hammer skin, if only for Banish.

A baseball bat would be really nice, especially if it had the GW2 HoT logo burned on it.

We have bows that shoot unicorns, Why the heck not? I doubt the bat will change the projectile, but that’s alright.

I have a friend that would kill for a giant spoon hammer or a giant fork GS…

The argument of how one holds a baseball bat holds some argument against this idea; a cricket bat might be far more likely.

But yeah, sports equipment as optional weapon skins and possibly legendary weapons… I’d be behind that. Legendary weapons are two of seven things. Cool, cute, dark, or noble and then immersive, neutral, or wall breaking. The Dreamer is a classic example of cute wall breaking legendary, but the Predator breaks the wall with equal but different cool force.

The Jugernaut, the existing Hammer legendary, is definitely in either the cool or noble category… and while it’s not immersive I’d ere on the side of caution and call it neutral instead of wall breaking. Since I expect each new legendary to be in as much of a different category as the current legendary as possible, I’d say having a sports weapon for either the hammer or greatsword would be possible.

Gw1 had a hammer called the Tetsubo Hammer, would love to see it again. Might even use it instead of my jugg.

There’s already a baseball cap if I’m not mistaken with the gw2 logo on it. It was given to ppl for preorder or beta.. So Long ago can’t really remember.

I think that OP unintentionally revealed a new legendary hammer. Special effect: Every time the player knocks back or launches an enemy, they turn into a baseball for a short while.

I’d prefer a big chunky wooden whack a mole mallet but basebal bat sounds kinda cool I’d prefer it have a nail through it or something
