April 28th Portal Dropping upscaled?
I was just curious as not everyone is level 80, but these are level 80 zones, for the duration of this event so people might have a chance to snag a spot in Beta, will lower leve characters be upscaled to 80 so they can take part in it?
No offense meant, but if you’re not 80 you’re not really well versed enough in the game to comment with full understanding and probably shouldn’t be in Beta.

None taken, however, though I have many lvl 80 characters, I do own more than one account, in which those accounts do not have a lvl 80 so I was simply wondering. That and given te fact that I have very close friends in real life who recently started GW 2, would love to take part in this beta, but some of them are not level 80. I ask this question in honor to them, not myself.
Now my turn, no offense, but my question could have been answered with a yes or no minus the personal opinion aspect, cause quite honestly, I don’t have a particular interest in anyone’s opinion.

This event is aimed at max level current players. There will be other ways to get into beta. I still don’t see what the big deal is. I would rather wait for everything to hit live servers instead of testing it in beta just to lose all that progress and start over. I’ve done enough betas over the years to have gotten over the mystique of it.
Probably not to be honest. It doesnt upscale you now, so i doubt they will change it.
This event is aimed at people who can play on Tuesdays.
Care to place bets what day the beta it opens up is going to be on?
Its actually a pretty clever way of sorting people who can play while the staff will be in office to watch.
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”

makes sense, though I think my statement is beyond just a personal opinion and more an educated guess at worst, wish ya the best with your request though.

Unless they change the map to upscale you, then no. Depending on their level they can tag along with you, but in my experience mobs hate upleveled players and will chase them down.
ANet may give it to you.
This is an excellent example of entitled gamers borrowing offense.
You yourself admit you have 80s that could do it and qualify, but you choose to complain. This is the problem
(I may be a little drunk posting)
HoT is a max-level expansion.
Of course they want to focus the betas on max level people.

What lordkrall said, the expansion is level 80 only so you’ll need a level 80 to get into the beta. Otherwise you would get a slot and not be able to take part in the actual beta because you lack a level 80.

Not necessarily. They gave the stress testers a character slot to make a level 80 Revenant to play on and they may well do that again. My Revenant is still on my character select screen.

If you have not any lvl 80 character then JUST ENJOY THE GAME =)
