As the title says, just curious if the only real way of getting them is to run around opening things with crowbars.

You can get them through Airship Cargo using the Crowbars, meta event participation, if you have Nuhoch Hunting mastery mobs can drop a bag with 5 in them, some HoT Story missions give some as a reward. The Ley-Energy Matter Converter sometimes has them where you can trade other map currencies for them. I find you get airship parts pretty fast through just playing around the zone though.

He meant that when you progress the map meta you get crowbars and more airship cargo boxes appear all across the map. Just explore a bit and use the crowbar on any airship cargo you see. You’ll get a lot of airship parts pretty fast.

Oh and if you can, taxi into an organized Verdant Brink map. It makes it a lot easier.

The huntich nags are not limited to 5 parts per bag, but can drop as much as 100. Also I seem to recall that chests that you get from killing champions, like a legendary wyvern give parts(the one above the minimap).

I think they should change for VB the airship part rewards, away cfrom this tedious and boring running around for cargo to break them open with crowbars.
Defeating Bosses at night and doing the preparation events at daylight should give in the map the significantly most amounts of airship parts as rewards…

running around for the cargo and the othe loot you can get from them should be only a nice little bonus for the players on the way, but not the only main income source for the map currency.

When you successfulyl do for example the AB meta and defend tarir, you instantly receive just for doing the meta event of the map like 250 units of the map currency or so, without boringly grounding around the map running stupidly around on search for some boxes to break open just to get then most of the time only 3 units of the map currency per box and rarely 25 and super duper mega rarely 100 in a game, that literally requires of you to collect of that currency like 15000 units of it, or more to have enough to get everything with that amount of airship parts to be able to buy everythign for that you need the currency, until you hit the point, where collecting the currency is just a bonus for you, because you actualyl don’t need it anymore to unlock somethign for your account like a weapon skin, a miniature, recipes or other stuff needed for collections/legendaries, where you actually just collect it to make profit out of it somehow.

If I would get rewarded with like 250 airship parts for defeating every night boss, then doign the night meta and trying to defeat as many bosses as possible would make the map directly alot more rewarding, because the map currency grind for VB would be then significantly lesser or at least to say alot more fun, than to run around for countless hours in the map searching for stupid boxes to break them open what isnt really fun, and becomes quickly just dead boring, when you need like to open several douzends to hundreds of them until you have enough airship parts to get somethign you need with them.
Sure, Nuhoch Bags help to speed up things a bit, but its not a really reliable income, because its just based on rng drops where you either have luck, or not with them.

AB simply makes alot more fun, you aren’t forced to run around permanently for boxes to break them up, you just need to focus yourself on doing the meta successfully to receive directly a significant map currency boost and that makes AB alot more fun compared to VB for me personally as it feels not as much of being a chore than VB.

Personally I like the idea behind sub classes ~ quoted from Chris Whiteside
