Are existing player ENTITLED
My problem is they are not delivering on the items they included. I don’t care about character slots or new players.
If you sell an item in a bundle you need to deliver ALL items in that bundle. Not half of it. And if you can’t you need to offer something else to the customer, because you didn’t deliver what you advertised.
What about the player’s that bought the game on the 75% sale in anticipation for HoT? Told a few friends about the sale and the upcoming expac and now it just feels like I tricked them into spending more money..
sliiiiiiiightly.
As true as Odin’s spear flies,
There is nowhere to hide.
Because I must get furious when someone else gets something I don’t need for free!
So there’s no special kiss on the cheek for veteran players. Dumb move on ANet’s part, sure. But at the end of the day you’re going to decide to buy or not buy. If a peck on the cheek is whats gonna sell you on an MMO where you’re likely to spend hundreds if not thousands of hours being entertained, I think you really need to review your decision making criteria…
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”

I hate to admit it but no we are not entitled, it is absurd if they don’t give us a character slot and not very good business practice but they do not have to do it.
We are entitled to feel slighted but at the end of the day your entitled to get what they have advertised if you have paid for it.
Again, I do not support not throwing in a little something for us vets and I think a character slot or the equivalent in gems is fair and a good idea to calm the masses and show they appreciate our loyalty.
We are entitled to close our wallets and walk away though.
I agree they would be well served by sweetening the deal a little for vets. I don’t think they’re even remotely considering doing that by adding a character slot to the $50 level A.) because we told them 3 years ago more classes than slots was tolerable and B.) it would GUT the value proposition of the $75 and $100 bundles (because people don’t especially need two extra slots). They’ll come up with something else inane but shiny to throw to the wolves. We’ll just have to see what they come up with after they have their post-E3 huddle and make the big “Whoops, that was stupid and we can’t admit it and please don’t think we forgot about Vets even thought we blatantly did and here’s what we’re adding to all tiers of the HoT pre-purchase program…” announcement we all know is coming …

That was a special brand of stupid on ANet’s part and they’re gonna have to find a good answer. My guess is they’ll pick a date and declare all accounts opened after that date and before the melt-down can buy HoT for $10 off.
