It wasn’t extended. There has been no announcement that the ‘event’ is over. Considering the Portal drop announcement is still on the front page, I’d guess it is still on-going. /shrug

They said that was the last weekend but they didn’t say that’s when it ended. So, as long as it doesn’t go over to next weekend it’s still accurate.

The last official word on the forums was that the portals were still dropping, contrary to rumors. I’ve no idea what ‘a Facebook group’ claimed, as I don’t use Facebook.

Again, as stated above, there has been no announcement, official forum or official Facebook (that I have heard), that Portals are no longer dropping. They may not be, or they may still be dropping. Someone could confirm they are; it would be difficult to confirm they are not without an announcement.
