Are they changing Trahearne?
Check the Personal Story Restoration sticky. He’s at least had some lines rearranged and re-voiced by the actor. It’s not supposed to be a major overhaul of earlier episodes, but he might be shaded more to your liking once those changes are deployed.
you straight up meet him out of the blue before
Unless you play as a Sylvari.
There is hardly any character development with him facing internal challenges aside for like 5 minutes during the vision of what he must do nor history of him aside that he is a firstborn thats it.
Well I think ANet in fact didn’t want to put too much emphasis on the story of Trahearne and more on the story of the PC.
Yet I feel when I listen to him its like I am listening to a robot no emotion is instilled on any situation he is placed.
I know that voice right, kinda creepy. I guess it goes with the necro-thing but still.

Killeen and my Necro both take issue with your insinuation. Sylvari tend to be bubbly regardless of their profession. Well, most of us anyway.
Lanacea (Necromancer), Kívha (Mesmer), Saerla The Wanderer (Ranger), Rosaera (Warrior)
Grandmaster of Echoes of Fate in the Sea of Sorrows
Hey everyone I know all eyes are on the new content or fix up to their class mechanics but is anyone else concerned if Traehearne will stay the way he is? Right now he is very much a Mary Sue and you straight up meet him out of the blue before your more likeable pact friend dies. There is hardly any character development with him facing internal challenges aside for like 5 minutes during the vision of what he must do nor history of him aside that he is a firstborn thats it.
Yes from the beta gameplay and just the build up that most of the races don’t trust the slyvari now which helps…Yet I feel when I listen to him its like I am listening to a robot no emotion is instilled on any situation he is placed.
I know that I can’t speak for everyone and say that everyone hates him, many probably love him. I just want to know if Anet acknowledged that he wasn’t the strongest character to many people and if they plan to improve upon him to make him more like able rather then the idea they find him fine and will continue with no revisions to him.
i dont agree with this at all i think traeharne is kitten.

You mean before ~ lvl60 after which EVERYTHING is about Saladface’s wyld hunt? :/
Sorry I don’t have a grudge against Sylvaries. In fact I love my Sylv. Ranger. That NPC however – Let’s just say I farmed the Tower of Nightmares just to kill him over and over again…
I vote for: It’d be the best if a certain someone just died through the crash in the Maguuma Jungle. It would be tragic, people would probably party – I guess we’d survive this loss.

Would that make us the supreme-commander? That could be interesting, mechanically and narratively.
Although I’d prefer if a certain someone got corrupted and then we got to kill them.
From alive to not alive? I sure hope so.
Unless you play as a Sylvari.
That comes with it’s own set of weirdness when he re-explains his backstory and a few other things like that. Dude, I know all about your wyld hunt, we’ve been working together on it for quite a while now…
A lot of people are annoyed about Traherne “stealing the spotlight” in the personal story, which I’m actually mostly okay with because I think it’s kind of lame when MMO stories make everyone a the special snoflake ‘chosen one’. It’s bad enough everyone’s pact commander. I actually like how the battle against Zaitain feels more like a group effort where the whole team unloads an entire battleship on it instead of forcing a “the fate of the entire world is in your hands and your hands alone” type scenario, which really only works in single player RPGs, in my opinion.
That said, I AM annoyed that the pale tree saw fit to give Traherne Caladbolg when I’m the one who went to hell and back to recover the thing in the first place. What, you can’t make ME a fancy weapon too? Jeez, way to play favorites, "mom. "
