Below in the attachments is my Sylvari, Sylviana. Say hello Sylvi!

Sylvi is a character I tried to have colors pattern after the leaves of the Pale Tree. Unfortunately, Sylvari cultural weapons don’t really go in the same direction the much more pale and glowy Caladbolg goes, so, their wooden parts contrast a lot with my character.

During my initial forays in Heart of Thorns, I was lucky enough to loot a Lightward Battlestaff… which – while not going for a planty feel – has subtle but appealing detail that say “high level weapon” without going super-gaudy like Bifrost. Even better, its color actually fits with my character!

So, this begged the question for me: are we getting more Lightward weapons? I know there’s a hammer, but my ranger isn’t really much of a hammer wielder – I’m more in the market for greatsword/longbow… which don’t seem to be in the game.

I hope they might become so! I like these weapons so far, ANet.

I’d love to actually just get that staff. It and the hammer are so wonderful … but the drop rate is abysmal. Count your blessings

I just want more polearm skins in general.

I TOTALLY want more Lightward weapons, if only for my Glint-themed asura wannabe-Herald. Support.

They did the same with Berserkers Ebb and Berserkers Flow. Beautiful skins, but very, very rare and only the sword and warhorn.

Maybe they are picking and choosing skins for certain weapons now

Not as far as we know sylvi =p. there isn’t anything datamined too.

The warhorn is a recolor of The North Wind (Tempest elite Warhorn)

But there has been a number of skins released only as parts of a set, such as the Ley Guard Revolver and Seer’s Warstaff. Perhaps more to come, but of interesting note is that they all begin with the Berserker prefix.

Lightward staff is sick it would fit my Revenant perfectly for a melee staff that price though………. Why can’t it only cost 50ish gold like the hammer!

I just wish the staff was closer in price to the hammer.

I’ve checked both Berserkers Ebb and North Wind just now. They are not re-skins of each other
