Hey,

I’m pretty close to the Luminate’s Backplate, I have Exalted Gathering, but I haven’t yet found the Auric Lodestone on any of the nodes, is it straight RNG? I have been running around Aruic Basin gathering but so far no luck for me. Anyone else found it yet?

Um, I had no issues once I unlocked the mastery. Got three lodestones in one mining hit for the three spec collection active. I remember mining a mithril node just outside one of the entrances to the city.

For me it was RNG, a lot of mining mithril and ori nodes. Same thing with the three “defeat champions” items, repeat until it drops.

Yea, took me two days of mining.

Do you have any elite collections you can open that don’t yet have the stone? The moment I got Exalted Gathering I went to AB and the very first mithril node I hit spawned 8 stones (I don’t have a Revenant yet but had unlocked all the other specs).

So if you have a profession you haven’t advanced to elite status yet maybe you can do that, then go mine, and see if your backpiece stone drops along with the profession one. Though I will say I did mine before the patch that made the stones profession-specific in name, and that may have changed the drop behavior as well.

Thanks for the replys, I did manage to get the lodestone today, seems like quite a low chance for it, been farming north and west watch now too, not much luck there either xD (some how I got south watch on the first champo!!)

Auric Lodestones =! Auric Sharpening Stones for specialisation collection

Oh, you are right, Malediktus! My bad on my post above, I haven’t worked on the backpiece so I was just seeing “Auric Stone” without realizing it was a different flavor.

Keep trying. The hardest part is that ore nodes are seemingly hard to find. Do events while you’re searching so it doesn’t get too grindy. It only took me a couple of hours and I got mine from a plain mithril ore node just outside the east entrance across from the east watch challenge.

still nothing here =D i doubt it even possible to get it, thanks anet for that gr8 wasting of time..

edt.: actually same thing with items for uzolan collection, they drops once a week
