I’m making this post for the sole purpose of sharing what auric weapon choice reward for each class after completing the 8th storyline (City of Hope).

The weapons are awesome, so i’m planning to collect them by repeating the story on other class. So far, I tried Elementalist and Ranger. You can only choose 1 auric weapon from the 3 choices.

Here’s the weapon choices on my class:
Ranger = longbow, axe and torch
Elementalist = staff, scepter and focus

Anyone else want to share some information about the other classes? It will be appreciated.

From the quest that had you do the Forgotten trials.

Warrior:

Hammer, Warhorn, and Mace.

Revenant – Staff, mace, sword

Thief- Dagger, Sword, Shortbow

Necro – Staff, Axe and Warhorn

Mesmer: Sword, Greatsword and Torch

I’m working on Guardian. Guessing: Greatsword, Hammer, Shield. They better give shield.

Engie got only 4 weapons. One of them is shield.

I don’t know for sure but I do think they can be crafted once you unlock a mastery needed for it. Just my guess.

Exalted give a crafted item needed to crafted a specific Auric Weapon.

Glad to hear Engineers get shield. To bad I don’t have one haha. Guess I’ll just craft it.

Has anyone worked out how to craft the weapons yet?

I have crafted the core and the weapon components but cant seem to find the 4th item in the discovery window, no insigina I make seems to work (tried rare, exotic and ascended).

Update: NVM, I was failing somehow, works fine with a bersekers inscription.

D: what an unfriendly combination of weapon choices..
if you group the options by weapon instead of class, you get:

- Shield, Rifle and Pistol are only obtainable as an engie (rip)
- Shortbow and Dagger are only obtainable as a thief

- Longbow only obtainable as a ranger
- Greatsword only obtainable as a mesmer
- Scepter only obtainable as an ele

- Axe: necro, ranger
- Hammer: guard, warrior
- Focus: ele, guard
- Torch: mes, ranger
- Warhorn: necro, warrior

- Mace: guard, warrior, rev
- Staff: ele, necro, rev
- 1H Sword: mes, thief, rev

can anyone confirm if the this story chapter can be repeated, or each character can only do this once to receive 1 reward at the end? Does repeat the chapter again reward a different weapon?

Once per character. You do not get any awards the second time on the same character.

Dulfy has an excellent guide to obtaining all the Auric Weapons.

If you didn’t select a weapon, and don’t want to play through with alts, you can get more of them from a PvP reward track or by crafting. See the guide for more info.

Edit: Just noticed how old most of the posts in this thread are. Still, the guide is good information if you’re interested in Auric weapons.

You can only do the PvP track once. I know you didn’t specifically say that you could but I wanted to add that disclaimer.

Why can’t the Ranger get the druid staff? seems like these are rather sparse given the fact many professions can now use other weapons like the Ranger/Druid using staff.

Simple reason. Not every ranger is a druid.
All the weapon given are the weapons usable by core professions.

That is silly. Every ranger I know actually is running Druid. I do and would love to have one of these staves. Currently I have an exotic that I got with my Druid build but really would like to get one of these.
