Average time to complete the daily?
Sadly a lot of people are like this and honestly, if you are at that point you may want to take a break.
During festivals? In general, they usually take < 1 minute each. Fireworks and opening packages takes < 1 minute for example. Adding a vista or gathering daily usually takes < 1 minute. In total, < 3 minutes.
Outside of festivals? Events usually take < 10 minutes, < 5 if it’s a rift map. Jumping puzzles/mini-dungeon or an adventure usually takes < 1, + ~3 in traveling though. A world boss takes < 1 minute if you plan for it. In total, usually < 10 minutes.
If you’re simply doing it for the gold and assuming you’re still capable of logging in when you’re not playing, you should do Tequatl, which is also worth at least 2g. Unless you count the waiting, it’ll take you a fraction of the time it takes you to complete the dailies. The Karka Queen is also usually ~2 gold in less than 5 minutes, if you happen to find blossoms along the way (they’re usually outside of the main camp and to the east). If you park alts, adventures are also going to be ~2 gold in the time it takes you to do dailies, as they take roughly 1 minute each and award a rare (~40s average).

eh, if you really want to race through, gw2timer.com has a click-to-show-me-where fastest completion option for all the dalies. JPs are mostly mesmer-ific so you can get a port to the end. It’s usually the short walk to harvest ore / plants that’s the delay.
You can even optimise that by getting enough nodes of each type in your home instance, then using that and/or the guild hall to complete them. Almost every region can be covered that way.
…but if that is all you do, just don’t play. It’s not fun any more to you.

You’re probably right. I completed specs on all classes even though I was a little annoyed with the HOT map designs, and I just didn’t find the new legendary construction process to be that intriguing. (I’ve build 4 old school). I’m “casual successful?” I guess, and don’t really have the drive to play in the raids or high end fractals (still fooling around in level 30 or so there). Ranked up in WVW 1k but mainly eotm.
I’ve just had so much fun in the game it’s just hard to let go.
Ya daily is quite easy to finish quickly now. If you’re looking to find things to do in GW2 after the easy daily is finished then the best you can do is go around the maps farming things.
I’ve taken long breaks from this game a few times before, and each time I wish I had kept doing my dailies while I was gone. If you don’t mind logging in for 10 minutes or less each day, then keep with it in case you ever get back into it.
The Edge of Oblivion [EDGE]
I’ve taken a couple breaks from GW2 as well. A few of those times, I would just login for dailies. At the very least, its worth logging in once every few weeks to get the free living world episodes. That way, once the next expansion is out, you’ll have a ton of content that’d just be waiting for you.
So I have been playing GW and GW 2 for a long time, and I feel a compulsion to log in every day to score that 2gp. I have my favorite spots for harvesting wood, ore and veggies in each major area. I have my speed vistas, my home mining instances, and the guild nodes. I hit wvw for the quickie grabs, and jump on the fast holiday snags.
I average 7-10 minutes then out.
I probably wouldn’t log in at all except for that treat, and for the new LS map openings. Any one else doing this?
Bout same for me when I’m burnt out at that point i only login for dailies while take break from game once I feel like returning I take my time at things do them as I come to them. depends dailies ive done 3 in less than 5 mins i’ll do more if they are fast now not on break i’ll do all the pve dailies if the right wvw up there like buy something i’ll do it to I dont pvp so i just skip them on either terms
During festivals I can complete dailies in a minute. Other days I do one pvp round and fill it up with daily vista or gatherer
