Writing this for my feedback (and anyone else who wants to add to it) about the mastery system, specifically.

For me, I enjoyed what I could do, limited though it was by bugged events. However, I find the two-step method to train a mastery redundant and stupid. Either let us level it by doing events and such, or let us use mastery points to get it. Why both? It makes for a time-gated method that is annoying.

Please make the mastery system either one or the other, or an either/or situation, where you can use a point or level, not have to do both.

Ah, we posted about the same time. I agree, and went into a lot more detail about the ways the current system is not ideal in this thread.

It actually blocks progress if you can’t get enough mastery points, and that’s pretty discouraging in a “why play?” sort of way.

Mastery progression is supposed to be long-term post-L80 progression. If the Devs removed the need for Mastery Points, I’m guessing they would make it take far, far longer to fill the (M)XP bar.

This way, you can unlock the feature/reward by going out to do some content. The benefit is two-fold: It speeds up the process, and gives players more content/activities to do. It also allows you to ‘bank’ MPs to spend where you will.
