So I have a question about how beta bank slots work. If i have ascended armor in my bank when i equip it to my beta character is it stuck on them or is it just a copy of my real armor?

Your bank and everything in it is just a copy on beta characters, so you’d be able to use your armor on both a beta character and a normal one.

Nothing that happens on any of your beta characters will affect your real account. Your beta characters are tied to a copy.
