Guild Wars 2

So we have unlocked the ability to restore the war room of our guild hall, only to find out that it requires 15 “Badges of Tribute.” Mousing over the badge of tribute tells us “Purchased for badges of honor in the guild’s war room.”

So unless there is a hidden way to acquire these, this appears to completely block the ability for any guild to ever acquire the war room. We have searched through all the vendors in the WvW areas and have found no way to turn badges of honor into badges of tribute.

Spent 6 hours in WvW trying everything out, events, etc. No go.

Please fix this ASAP. This is a big hit for guilds wanting to do things in WvW.

Same issue. About to be stuck on upgrades because of this…

I spoke to a dev, who is in our guild, and he said he alerted QA, and that they would have a fix for it, tomorrow.

Curious how this made it into live.

No. We’ve checked all of those numerous times. Nobody offers “Badge of Tribute”.

This is a pretty big screw up for something so simple and now its probably really difficult to adjust this problem without hurting the rest of the treasury or UIs

Yeah Were waiting on this As well its not like They looked into WvW side of Things much Anet only Cares for PvP and PvE Remember There are no Guilds or players Who only play WvW Even said by a Dev… I like Many others Worked Our Butts off to get this so we can Claim in WvW only to be Locked by not overviewing simple Stuff…. G..G Bump PLZ!!!!!!!!!

Ha ha! Now all the war room needs is a sign saying “What came first, the chicken or the egg?” :P

As someone who codes, I find the bug hilarious.

As a player, really, this is something we have to worry about? *facepalm*

Dude it hasn’t even been 24 hours since the dev posted their response.

It seems like an easy fix is to put an NPC into WvW that sells them. Once you have your war room you can either buy more from him or go to the war room to buy them. And the NPC can just stay in game selling them. No reason to ever take him out.

But this is ANet we’re talking about, they have to over-complicate everything.

Thank you for addressing this issue. WvW is a HUGE part of GW2 and the 100’s of WvW only guilds really would like to have our War Rooms

You’re assuming all they did was forget to put the NPC in the game. Maybe they didn’t even to put Badges of Tribute into the game?

Given their fix was to remove the requirement, they probably realized there WAS intended to be a way and it wasn’t firing so “quick fix time!” and just snip that off.
