Bags- Clean Inventory
This should probably be in general discussion, not HoT.
But yeah that kind of thing would be nice. Maybe make things that are account/soul bound go to invis bags by default?

How about:
When double clicking an item to equip it, if it’s replacing an already equipped item, the two merely swap around (so the old item moves into the vacated inventory slot)
Oh, yeah sorry about the not HoT related post. I hope they add something like this in Heart of Thorns… now its fine, right?
No, all the other suggestions would work perfectly too. And I can even understand that it is not the number one thing they are focusing on, my hope is something like that will be implemented in the next mayor update, and i expect that to be HoT.

Would be fine if you wanted to swap a 1 handed weapon for a 1 handed weapon. or two handed for two handed. It is also how it works already.
As op stated, the problem comes when switching from say: dagger/focus → staff.
The focus ends up in the first empty slot. Which sucks if you want to keep your gear in an invisible bag.

In original Guild Wars we had slots for weapon sets and then could change between weapon sets. That was a great solution for this.
And while we are at it …. templates would be great too when switching between builds :-)
I have a dream that they’ll one day introduce Player Housing, and when they do they’ll also introduce a Carpentry crafting discipline that makes furniture for said housing. Now obviously such a discipline wouldn’t make combat consumables (stones, oils, crystals), so it would instead make bags like the armor crafts do. Their unique bag would be chests into which account and soul-bound equipment are automatically sorted, space permitting. It’s a beautiful dream, and I hope it one day comes true.

Because from history they would do:
1. Nerf all runes and sigils (again)
2. Make new ascended ones with same old stats +5 stas on the 5th stat (if runes) + 0 (if sigil).
3. Profit.
The game wasnt prepared to Exotic+ Stats, thats why they made the Ferosity Nerf in first place. And thats why the game isnt balanced in Attack/Defence, basically you get better results gearing with tank stats than DPS. (PVP wise)
