All this talk about necros getting shouts and group buffs…. and why should they not go to the thief? A warhorn and some shouts… I could see it.

I place my bet on shouts going to a minstrel or bard.

Edit: I am referring to the devs saying one class will get all shouts for skills, and people really think it’s going to be necro… and I still think we are getting a bard

Minstrel /Bard is what Mesmers should get as next elite profession together with warhorns, they already have this kind of artistical musician vibe among their trident auto attack and music is all about inspiration …

My opinion on a future Mesmer spec would be some kind of telekinethic mage.
Minstrel will always stay a joke, like Commando.

I see the Necro as a Ritualist. I know everybody says it will be the Revenant, but the Revenant is more a Summoner for me.

People talked a lot about a rifle Thief. I have no idea for that. Let’s hope it’s not a sniper, it’s a bad idea to name a spec just after one unique weapon (hello dragonHUNTER !)
But a mace Thief would make a good Saboteur.

I think the OP means, the devs said a profession is getting all shouts as their elite spec (I think that’s what they said…don’t quote me on that) and he’s asking you to speculate on which profession it’ll be and what name it’d have.

And it likely won’t be Ranger, Guardian or Warrior who all have a kit of at least 4 shouts already.

Right, but he also proposed thief as getting shouts and a warhorn, which was why I posted why I did.

I think Tempest will get shouts. Tempests (storms) are very noisy in nature and it’s an odd twist on Elementalist. ANet loves their odd twists.

JS, shouting on a thief makes very little sense. Unless it’s something like “Give me all your money!”

All shouts → Revenant elite.

Shouts on thief make sense, he can use them to make joke, making fun or ridiculing his enemies, making them angry and more prone to make mistakes.

I was thinking more like “Air Strike” or “Tactical Extraction” as shouts for a Thief specialization.

IMO Banshee would be really cool for necro, I really hope that’s the Spec name with shouts.

I was hoping on lines of “Screamer” or “Kali” for necro elites.
