Hello, I know you can get gold just everywhere in gw2, but I have being reading how people are using Tarir multi-map to get tons of rares etc and that seems to be the best way to farm gold today, but for example the other day I was doing cleric farm in bloodstone fen and got tons of loot and some not-salvaged mats what have nice price at the auction and I did good money in 1 hour. So is Tarir so much better than any other map? The new Bitterfrost Frontier map also seems to be good place with tons of events every minute, but as those two have dimishing return maybe that is why people choose Tarir?

On the other hand, if you don’t have a second character, how much time you need to go and do other map to reset dimishing return? And by having an alt and using it on the map where your main has dimishing return, when the alt gets it too, if you return to your main his dimishing return will be gone?

to reset DR you need to spend 15-20 mins playing in another zone.
DR is character based, so if your alt gets DR in the same map, then both of your characters will have DR and will both need to go elsewhere for their own 15-20 mins of play.

Events? People farm Tarir by abusing the taxi system to farm the reward chests under Tarir 10+ times per cycle. In Bitterfrost, you basically do the same thing by collecting the frozen chests, then hop to a new map to do it again. There’s no DR on chests.

It doesn’t suck. It’s almost a full bag of loot+berries for one run, which is about 5-10mins, per character.

I’ll just say this: Tarir is not the best place. It’s simply one of the easiest because all you do, like SW, is grab the chests, but then you have a ton of down time between breaches. There are other….. places ….. you can farm where the drops alone sell for 10-20 silver each and can get about 70-100 in 10 minutes of farming with the right event rotation.

You should do your own research in different maps and you too will find a hidden jewel.
