Do World Bosses. I think you also get Dragonite from HoT map events, but I usually have a lot more than I need from doing World Bosses frequently.

If there’s a daily such as Daily Shadow Behemoth, or Daily Frozen Maw, those are a pretty good source of bonus Dragonite as well.

Chest runs in Silverwaste.

I wish they would allow it to be given away or sold, I have so much in my Bank (a full section of it and Blood Stone) that I destroy stacks and stacks of 250 daily to make room for other stuff.

I have no desire to invest the time or resources into Ascended or Legendary items.

Definitely Silverwastes Chest Train, I got 5 stacks from 10 full runs.

PvE world events cough this out like Bloodstone Dust.

What is there to do with Dragonite ore? Make a Vial of Salt? Amulets are pretty cheap at 30 Laurel or 20 Laurel + 250 badges of honor. A lot cheaper to use Laurels than all the T6 mats required for the salt.
If you’re making ascended gear those are expensive (1000+ gold for a set), and you’ll get a ton of Dragonite ore running any kind of farm (world boss, silverwastes event or chest, fractals, HoT map events). I’ve thrown out well over 100,000 dragonite ore, it’s about the most useless thing in the game. Even if I crafted ascended everything for all of my toons i’d have probably thrown out over 500k dragonite ore from all the farming I’d have to do.
