I just recently finished my tier 3 Collection for Astralaria and I’ve been welcomed to the quite daunting challenge of maxing every single Mastery, does anyone know the current best way to level them? Meta? Farms? something???

Grind meta. You will get tons of exp at each “step” of the tier progression. At 200% participation you get like 80k exp for meta event. Don’t leave the map after that, start the events over and you will get the benefit of max exp per progression step, due to your already maxed out participation.

Dragon Stand meta for the sheer amount of mobs/events. Using all the boosters I had, I gained 40/50% of my Ley Line Gliding XP before Mouth fight. Was happy I could then use it for that fight.

Just play the game.
Meta events
Hero points
Get alts through HoT content
Map exploration
Killing mobs
HoT challenges

Etc.

The exp will all come eventually, and once it’s done it’s done. There’s no real reason to rush beyond the first few perks in each mastery anyways, the final mastery unlocks are mostly fluff (bar ley line gliding).

The actual mastery points come thick and heavy with minimal effort, and there’s like 20 more than you actually need, so you don’t need to bother with gold challenges etc unless it takes your fancy, silver unlocks collection items and is usually not that hard so you might as well grab those ones.

Although if you really want exp fast the DS meta really can’t be beat. But you want to have enough currencies from other maps to buy things from the merchant at the end (like plated weapons), so chaining it is kinda pointless imo.

Honestly just play the expansion, Anet did a pretty stellar job at pacing the grind.

- Hero Point farms in AB and TD give good experience.

- TD meta as well as the mushroom and whisp adventure, bike adventure if SCAR has been cleared

- DS meta. Start on a fresh map, try running experience boosters (killstreak too), tag as much as you can (kill experience is way higher than actual event xp over the entire event). Endup getting around 1-2 million experience in 1-1.5 hours.

Use all kinds of XP boosts. Check the Wiki. If you can get a kill streak boost (candy corn gobbler provides one if you got a gobbler), then DS is wonderful because you can maintain a kill streak for 10 or 20 minutes at a time. Tag all the bad guys you can. GET IN A SQUAD!

DS is doing it for me. At this rate I’ll max my last two lines before I finish my leystone armor collection…

worry more about the points, along the way to get those points you get much of the exp needed….

Dragon’s Stand is definitely the way to go. If you get into a decent map it doesn’t get too boring. Blight towers could get a little tiresome though.
