I wish we had been given a thread to do this in so it was all together, but oh well!

I participated in the first two time slots, the third was from 10.30pm to past midnight for me so I slept through it, and I say that overall it was a great time. The servers that I ping off of were actually the ones that completely crashed during the second slot, so I guess we did a good job stressing the servers for the devs.

The few shady things I ran into, weren’t big and the game was a lot more polished and well running than I expected. During the Wyvern fire event in the Itzel village the Wyvern kept ignoring physics and the idea that matter is solid- he kept just flying literally through the village and just sort of appeared and disappeared. I did have some lag/latency issues where I would be walking normally and then just run off a cliff. I also had lower FPS in the Beta, I normally run in the 40-60fps area, but was lucky to get to 30fps while testing.

I agree with the numerous others who say that the events, especially at night, could have a little more guidance and the Mastery system was a little odd to figure out.

On to the good that stood out most! I loved the Itzel and their big bull frog friends/guardians. When they first revealed the Itzel I was pretty turned off by them, but they are awesome in-game. The whole plot of the red Hylek being nasty scum to them had me grumbling at the screen to leave the poor baby Itzel be. I also loved the humanoid Mordrem and can’t help but think that some of their attacks foreshadow a connection to the Dream which makes me excited. Having Laranthir running all over the map fighting and helping was really cool. Also, the music was fantastic.

All in all it was a good time for me. It was also a pretty good laugh for my friend watching me play since she got to laugh at my constantly going “Dear lord what is that?!” and “I have no clue what I’m doing, but everything looks cool!”
