The LOD has too high of a default setting and makes EVERY ONE of my machines drop down to sub 30FPS. Talking about system builds that have 60FPS + in every other map in the game….

if i drop the LOD down to LOW then I can get 45-50FPS tops. This needs to be addressed.

So just fell through the water like for 18 seconds. I wonder if you guys are having us render what is under the ground right now and thats why the performance is so bad.

I’m having similar issues. There are some areas near pois where I pass over and the entire screen goes black (no idea why?)

And is it just me, or is the server crashing frequently or freezing? My skills will stop for a whole five minutes before it either boots me out or continues.

For that black part, it’s a cave entrance with missing textures. I been playing since the beta starts and never experienced freeze and crushes.

Some must fight so that all may be free.

Thanks for the clarification!! I figured it was either an effect that wasn’t finished or something else. Kinda bugs me, but I understand.

Funnily enough, I get better FPS in Verdant Brink. But then, I don’t have a high-powered machine. =/

Spec wise;

Laptop
i7-2720QM + M270x + 32GB of ram

Desktop1
i7-4790K@4.6ghz + R9 295X2(CF) + 32GB of ram

Desktop2
i5-4670K@4.2ghz + R9 280x + 8GB of ram

And all these machines perform exactly the same in the new zone. Everything is fine until AFTER the story instance is done and you are at that peak over look place and BOOM, 28-30FPS. Look at the wall behind or off the to the side and 80-200fps (system depending).

There is a huge issue with how the LOD coding is done here.
